I think that he really comes off as a PG with a shooter's mentality - which is why neither he nor Gordon nor Duhon could come out truly on top in that rotation - the same as Gordon. I think we WOULD be better off with Beno who truly is a playmaker and a good set-up guy before I'd lock us to Hinrich's salary.

No he's not.

I wonder if we can get our hands on a TJ Ford or even better a Raymond Felton type PG? If not we probably will have to look for a combo guard that has potential like Louis Williams from Philly or a sharp shooter like Gibson with our MLE. That's assuming we draft a PF though and don't trade for a PG IMO.

You guys are right. Why get Hinrich when we can keep KT who is developing into such a huge asset and an undersized Travis Mays type player who we want to be a point. We give up way to much talent in this deal. Kirk has a reasonable contract and had a bad year just like everybody else on the Bulls. Why try and get a player on the cheap at a position of need when we can keep proposing Artest for Horford deals. The Bulls would laugh at Petrie if he offered this deal. My goodness the homerism of some people.

Thomas/Douby for Hinrich, I probably ultimately wouldn't do the deal unless Hinrich went to a 3rd team.

No one is saying that Thomas/Douby is better than Hinrich. Hinrich's worst performance ever is still better than Thomas/Douby. However, Hinrich is not the answer for our team in the sense that he is just a temporary point guard until we find our true "PG." Unless we decide to make a run and attempt to win now, in which, Hawes, Garcia, Sheldon, 08 picks, 09 picks, must be traded.

Our team needs to rebuild, and Hinrich just prevents/slows down the process.

Same with likes of Odom, Marion, Haslem, J. O'Neal, etc.
