What do you envision Salmons' role will be with the Kings?

What do you think of his game and his minutes for next season. It seems that Kings have a lot of wings if all are healthy.

At this point I think it's hard to say. A lot depends on how the summer plays out and who's on the roster in the fall.

If Artest is traded he will be the starting sf getting over 30 minutes he will at times play sg and pg. If Artest is on the roster he will be coming off the bench or possible traded. IMO either Salmons or Artest needs to be traded and I am happy starting either one.

Salmons role will depend on two main things.

A - The Kings PG situation going into the season
B - Whether or not Artest gets traded.

Salmons could be starting at the 1 or the 3 depending on how those other things shake out.

Yeah it pretty much depends entirely on Artest's status. Neither is effective off the bench, so one should probably go, assuming a valid deal is available.

I think that unless we make a big trade for a starting PF the best case scenario would be to move Ron to the PF and start Salmons at the 3. Artest proved to be our best post player last year and did a decent job on D. I mean he cant be worse than Moore. In order for Salmons to be effective he has to start. Some guys are just like that. He would be able to play a little point forward as well from that spot. I sure hope we keep Beno and somehow get Augustine though

PG: Beno/Augustine/FA/Douby
SG:Martin/Cisco/Douby
SF:Salmons/Cisco
PF:Artest/Moore/Reef
C:Miller/Hawes

I can see using Artest at the 4 when we want to use a small lineup, but not on a regular basis.
