Re: Kings Summer League
Is anyone else worried about Hawes FG%? He's 12 for 47 in the last 3 games, pitiful for a center, especially one who's supposed to be dominating right now. Against summer league competition at that.

No. Not really. Hawes, at times, is forcing the issue. He seems to rush his shots at times. Taking an ill advice shot. (3 pointers) And top of that he has been double teamed in the post significantly throughout the SL. This put Hawes in an unique situation IMO. IIRC he was NEVER double teamed in the regular season. Probably, that is why his game is what it is now. He needs to adjust himself. He will be fine.

Re: Kings Summer League
So far Thompson has been pretty damn clutch. The guy looks like he could definitely be a very good player in the future while contributing now also. I've been really impressed with him so far.
Hawes played good D too. His offense was pretty bad, but he has done well offensively before so I'm not worried about that really. I'm pretty impressed by his 13 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Re: Kings Summer League
I'm still sticking to it, Douby is gonna be a player in this league. Probably a Vinnie Johnson off the bench Scorer/defender guy..he's gonna be pretty good in that role.

Well final game, and we get to play against justin Williams. Should be interesting to see the Hawes/Justin matchup.

Jason the starting 3 and looking good so far!
No Douby I guess??? Shelden showing the ability to drive to the rack again, that's nice to see.

Re: Kings Summer League
You see, this game is a perfect example of what Jason can do at the 3 spot. He just pounds the ball inside and there is nothing even 6'9" Donte Greene can do.

Re: Kings Summer League
Wow, this Jason Thompson guy is pretty good! He basically played the 3 the whole night and did a great job beating down his smaller defender (who is one of the bigger 3's in the league in Donte Greene BTW)
Sean Singletary looked better. He got a chance to be more aggressive on offense without Douby out there.
Spencer looked dominant the 1st half then kind of let Jason take over in the 2nd. Nice to see him finish off summer league strong.
Shelden looked good, did what he does, bang around.
BTW it's nice having bigs that can hit their free throws!!! I think Jason can become a 80+% free throw shooter, and I expect him to get to the line a lot during his NBA carreer.

Re: Kings Summer League
All right so yesterday I spent the whole Day at Thomas & Mack Center/Cox Pavilion watching 5 summer league games. It was a lot of fun and I got to meet A LOT of players (talked with CHRIS PAUL, met OJ MAYO, DERRICK ROSE, MIKE CONLEY, RAFER ALSTON, BJ ARMSTRONG, DALE DAVIS, JASON THOMPSON, SHELDEN WILLIAMS, etc. It was really cool how most of the players were down to earth and were willing to take pictures and sign autographs and just have fun.
On to the kings game, had too much fun there lol, even tho they lost, still made a very good effort and Hawes had a chance with 40+ seconds remaining to tie the game with a 3 but it rattled in and out. Williams, Thompson and Hawes were amazing, and Singletary wasn't bad either.
ANOTHER THING - IF YOU GO TO ESPN.COM AND CHECK THE NBA PART OF THE SITE, THE VIDEO ABOUT JERRYD BAYLESS, LOOK BEHIND HIM, THE GUY IN THE WHITE SHIRT WITH A KINGS JERSEY ON (NEXT TO A GIRL IN RED) IS MEEEEEE HAHAHAHHAHA IM ON ESPN.COM! TOO COOL!
have fun ya'll
Draino's making a return slowly, but surely... work too much, plus school... not too much time for this
