I mean heck, Matt Barnes is a nice player--probably not much worse than Cisco, and he only got a minimum contract.
Times are changing. What are the Kings going to do when CSKA Moscow or Olympiakos comes calling? Cisco is exactly the type of player that would dominate in a Euroleague, much like Anthony Parker of the Raptors did. Cisco isn't just another athletic wing on the market like Barnes or Pietrus, he's got legitimate offensive talent plus is an above average defender. As a bonus, he flourishes in virtually every role we put him in because of his versatility; point forward, spot up shooter, off the bench sparkplug, etc. He's a top 10 player in his draft class, IMO.
I'd prefer it if the Kings would be able to negotiate a deal this summer. But, like you said, if Cisco's agent is haggling for a pricey tag, then it may not be possible. But it is a sticky situation nonetheless
