Training Camp Roster Announced

Post#1 » by KingInExile » Sun Sep 28, 2008 3:20 pm

Very interesting...this is the first time I remember in several years where we don't have a lot of "long-shot" invitees. Only 2 guys have been added for camp:
Noel Felix F 6-9 225 10/04/1981 Fresno State
Zhang Kai F 6-10 235 12/01/1982 China

The rest of the 17 man roster is rounded out by the guys already under guaranteed contracts.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Yeah so Bobby Jones makes 3 non-guaranteed guys vying for 1 spot. Right now, we have 6 bigs, and one guy that can play some PF, and 3 PGs and one guy with PG size that's a SG. I'd guess that if anybody makes it (which I'm not really counting on, since we rarely go with 15 man rosters), it'll be Bobby Jones.

I agree,if ever we sign one of those 3 guys it would probably bobby jones...I like for the fact that he is a defensive type of a player and we could have 3 bobby's on our team

That's great we got Jones in camp... big supporter of his since his draft class - not expecting him to make it with us, though. If he sticks around? Fantastic.

As has been shown in most of his short stops, he has NBA-game, which I think as an above-average role-playing prospect on both sides of the court, has ood size for a wing-man, and is a respectable athlete. Can really do a bit of just about everything, strengths being his defense, rebounding, and shooting out to three. Brings the intangibles for sure, also. He actually put up a triple double with the Grizzlies last year.

Just hasn't been able to stick somewhere yet, collectively, I'd say becuase of a lack of roster space. Specifically, at times when getting enough of a chance, being let go. Also has been noted for his general attitude and maturity for a young player.

If anything, this oppurtunity will put him out there more to other teams.
