SAC/IND

Post#1 » by HicksvsKnicks08 » Mon Sep 29, 2008 6:26 pm

I am posting from this from another website.

Hi guys,

How is everyone? Haven't been on here in quite some time but thought I would check in and see what's been happening with the site.

I also wanted to let you all know that a friend of mine who's involved with the Kings told me that an offer was on the table from Sacramento to trade for Tinsley. Word has it that the Kings have offered Indiana Kenny Thomas in exchange for Jamaal Tinsley and Josh McRoberts. The Pacers have replied stating that they would consider it if Sacramento would take back Shawne Williams instead of McRoberts. Apparently, the Pacers have also asked for Donte Green to be included.

This would make it a Jamaal Tinsley and Shawne Williams for Kenny Thomas and Donte Green.

Sacramento have since replied that they would only consider the deal if Indiana were to include an unprotected future first round pick (not sure what year).

He also told me that it has been quiet about this deal in the last week or so, makes me wonder though.

I believe there is a still a while left until Donte Green can be traded again, can anyone let me know a date when he can be re-traded by the kings?

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know what rumblings I'd heard. As a lot of you would know, I don't provide links since this is info I get occasionally from people. Don't ask for a link as refusal often offends

Again, I am just re-posting this, thought was interesting, and would appreciate your intelligent thoughts.

Thanks

I have seen this floated on a few boards, it's a little old, the best explaination I can come up with is that it's 100% bogus. If we didn't re-sign Beno then maybe, and a slight maybe at that, I could see it. But noway are the Kings taking on an extra year AND giving up Donte Greene someone I am sure the Kings are higher on than just about anything Indiana would give up.

not only that but they are really trying hard to get rid of shawne williams
we take back 2 guys they dont even want on their team at all and they take back 1 of ours plus a rookie that we got in the artest trade.
with the unprotected pick in there it is interesting, but depends on how long we would have to wait for it.

Horrible if the kings actually did this. No reason to have tinsley and giving up greene would just be plain stupid.

Tinsley? Yuck! This trade is bad for the Kings. Trading Kenny for Tinsley is dumb, and I can't stand Kenny. Then we give Donte Green for Shawne Williams? What?

The only deal I see the Kings interested in is exchanging 2 years of Thomas for 3 of Tinsley and to be compensated with a 1st round pick.

There is no way this trade happens i am very sure that the kings are not going to trade donte green
plain & simple at best a deal between sactown & indy may have been discussed before we signed beno but of course we didnt have green at the time so donte's name would never have been mentioned in any deal !
To top it off we signed bobby brown & the addition of bobby jackson who can play the point as well as shooting guard you can forget about the kings dealing for tinesly !

This is a pointless topic .....

With an unprotected pick, I would do Tinsley + Shawne for KT + Donte..

We are talking about Indiana here, very possible top 5 pick next year, and the draft class next year has some good prospects that we need more than Donte.. and honestly, if we are gonna be an uptempo team, Tinsley should be a good PG for us

If you think the Pacers are going to get a top 5 pick wouldnt you want to stay away from the protected pick? Also the draft class next year is suppose to be one of the worst ever.

I too dont see a deal getting done as much as I like Donte Greene, he is a SF that baring injury would not crack our rotation and there is no point in having a guy with that much potential rotting on your bench. I could see Thomas for Tinsley straight up (sorry but im not sold on Beno Udrih yet) but thats about it.

I don't think so. The Pacers are very motivated to move Tinsley. Letting Thomas expire is in the Kings plans. So go peddle Tinsley somewhere else.

Beno and Bobby will handle the PG duties just fine.
