Looked good the last game. This is just one of those hiccups on the road to....

TO THE NUMBER 1 PICK BABY!!!

Eh, I haven't watched the last game, but I take your word for it. But IMO Miller's presence is still significant for the offense. He stabilizes the offense. Thus, creating a structured offense rather than an awkward offense.

Glad I didn't watch this. From the score it looked like a Halloween nightmare. I hope martin's just in a fluke.

But IMO Rubio will declaire. He got enough attention in the Oylmpics I think his stock won't be higher. I don't think we'll have the #1 pick, but a top 3 and Rubio will definetly be looked at. This draft lacks the first option scorers we need along side Martin/Hawes/Thompson (hopefully) and of the players aviable, Rubio is the best chance to be the master at something - passing.

But even with our team playing attrocious - and while my dream job is draft analyst... it is really early to be talking draft

We'll have just as good of a chance as anyone to get the #1 pick % wise. We'll be battling OKC and the Nets for the worst record, maybe GS and the Wiz if their star players dont come back soon enough.

Even with the worst record thats still no guarantee and luck has to be on our side. Kings fans know about this org. and luck. It doesn't really mix. Its also funny how everything seems lined up for us to have one of the top picks, and it happens to be one of the weakest drafts(lack of superstars AND depth) in recent years.

That's really alright if we don't get the first pick. Looks like that will be BJ Mullens (We have Hawes), Demar Derozan (We have Martin), and Blake Griffin (We have Thompson) territory. I'm much more intrigued by the likes of Jrue Holiday, who to me is like Chauncey Billups type with his combination of defense, drive and kick ability, and outside shot.

But draft talk is all really premature two games into the season

At this point I wouldn't even care about position. This team needs a SUPERSTAR, regardless of position.

But seriously, I lean to a loss because I think they'll be too athletic for us

And so it continues, Miami simply owns us

Over the past several years, they've either been too quick and athletic, or too well-rounded (during most of the Shaq-era), as well as tougher.

And hey, no way for anybody to put any blame on Ron Artest for the loss this time (let alone any time now ;) )...

Really thought it'd be more competitive in the loss, good lord...

joeyowwee wrote:I can't understand why he'd look more passive this year than last year though. He doesn't have to worry about Ron hogging the ball anymore, he looked great in the preseason, and he definitely worked on his game this summer. I understand that players go through shooting slumps, but this seems like something more than that. Kevin usually takes the ball inside and tries to get to the line when his shot is off. He didn't even look to do that tonight.

Ron didn't hog the ball, he was who we ran our offense through along with Miller on a consistent basis. That was by design by Theus, because of Ron's versatile and above-average offensive ability. Especially in the post, scoring and passing. But sure, Ron at times would go away from what was originally intended, but it's not like that happened as much as what went relatively right.

I also doubt Kevin worried about Ron hogging the ball when he respected and understood what Ron's significance was to the team (as well as relating to Theus and Musselman). Which, if you can remember, or if you go back over quotes/interviews over the last few years, that is displayed from Kevin.
