I think he's going to make a lot of GM's wish they didn't pass him up during the draft this year. Especially N.Y. GM... :) Not bad considering most every pro analyst predicted JT to be an early 2nd round draft pick and analyst giving the KINGS crap for picking him so high. Shows how little some of these so called analyst realy know.

To be fair, Chalmers had the best first game. Pretty easily.

Yes. As the number 34th pick in the draft you could say Mario Chalmers had a very nice coming out party (17pts/7rebs/8ast). He's another guy most every GM is going to wish they didn't pass over in the draft. Not to take anything away from Chalmers because I like his game.. But, JT got robbed by Reggie... I think JT could have put up much better numbers had Reggie played him more instead of Mr. 20min no rebounder 7 foot Mikki Moore. Thompson only played 22min compared to Chambers 35min. Can't fault a player for a coaches inability to recognize who should be out on the floor and who shouldn't.

I'm optimistic.

Agreed, but at this point its not even about putting up 18/10 nightly, its just about outplaying Mikki. At this point the only thing Mikki is better than Thompson at is defensive rotations. Which is basically the product of the experience gap.

To be even more fair Chalmers started while JT came off the bench to produce that way. In essence it's splitting hairs, but both players look to be like very good NBA players for a while.

Miki Moore is the starter and should be starting. The Kings are rebuilding. The need to keep the value of their players as high as they can until they can find a suitable trade partner for them. Kings are hoping he starts putting up palatable numbers so a vetern team will give them something of value in return. Jason Thompson is young. There is no rush to start him. I'm exstatic he looks good, but give his minutes to where they will get the team the most value. To Mikki Moore. (Welll, that is assuming of course Mikki has something, anything left in the tank. Right now it seems like he is doing everything he can to nail his already modest trade value to the floor.)

Ugh, if Jason keeps performing this much better than Mikki, he will have earned his minutes, and you'll have nothing to complain about. And frankly he should be able to earn his minutes over Mikki at this point. If he can't he's simply not working hard enough.

Is three games of actual signs of life enough yet?

Well no, it's....it's three games. That's not enough for anything.
