Now it

Post#1 » by Mogwai: » Tue Jan 27, 2009 12:47 pm

With the Thunder’s victory last night, the Kings drop to the last place in the West, and is now with the same record than the Wizards, but we lost to them at home. And that makes us the WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE!!! This is absolutely shameful! And I don’t care if, with that, we increase the chances to have a higher pick in the next draft. It’s just awful. It sucks…

By the way, do you consider this team worst than the Sacramento Kings 1989/90 team, with Kenny Smith, Vinny Del Negro, Danny Ainge, Rodney McCray, Greg Kite, Wayman Tisdale, Pervis Ellison, Ralph Sampson, etc., who finish the season with 23-59?

Why are you getting all bent out of shape over this. Ever since game 10 this season, we've known this team was 100% dysfunctional.

I think the high ticket prices, the high salaries, and these arrogant owners aren't easy to deal with when the product on the floor is this bad. At least with those Kings you saw some fight, hustle, and effort. They weren't always getting blown out by 2 before halftime.

Get use to it. This franchise as fallen so much and I can't see any real improvement for years. The only chance they have is to land a big free agent. The roster is crap and owners no longer care about winning.

Though we suck and have the worst record currently keep in mind this .

Memphis has played like 7 less home games than they have on the road ! Simular can be said about other teams thats record shows to be 1 of the bottom 7 teams record wise .
Also the Kings have played 3 or 4 more road games than they played at home so far plus they have a good road stretch coming .

I am not really defending us because again we suck right now but we are not neccessarily the worst team right now i would check back after our 75th game if we have the worst record at that point i would agree we are the worse !

Sports is cyclical. We had our ups, now we're at the bottom of our down. The bright side is it really can't get any worse. It CAN'T. Well at least not in basketball. Only place to go is up.

it's just "whatever" as we are slowly but surely rebuilding the team and developing.

Reggie getting fired I still think didn't make much sense, though, considering the situation of the team. Unless there was something isolated that wasn't a nitpick deal, or exaggerated or manufactured, where media poagies make their cheese.

I never agreed with Theus being fired. I think he deserved this season and the next for a fair trial.

Although I was NOT a fan of his offense.

And his defense sucked too.

Ok maybe Theus should have been fired but we better not retain Natt.

Reggie must have pissed off the wrong person. Why else would the decision be made to pay Kenny Natt head coach money. Natt did get a raise didn't he? Musselman is still getting paid by the Kings isn't he?

I mean the basketball people in the Kings front office had to know Natt was not going to make any dramatic improvements. So why pay three guys to be head coach? Reggie pissed off the wrong guy.

I don't think so. I could be wrong though.

I heard it was because he didn't want to get rid of Chuck Person. Management asked Theus to relieve Person of his services but Theus refused to and they axed him. Grant Napear seems to stad by that story, and he's a guy who would know. So Theus' loyalty to his guys were the reason for him no longer being here. I still wish he was though, and I think he should have been given the rest of the year, no matter what happened.
