Hi folks,

I am a bulls fan since MJ's era (you know that #23) also argentinean, In Noc (or Chapu like we call him) :o you will get will, passion and desire to win.

He is like a brave soldier, you could say anything, but never expect less than 110% of pure (and sometimes brutal :P ) energy, he's not the most skilled guy, like he says in the past "I am not a star, I am a worker"

We are gonna miss him, anyhow Bulls are resahping its identity, for years we got the tallent but no system, anyhow, good luck Chapu!.

Wow, I can't believe how much some of you seem to hate Nocioni. I have a strong feeling, most Kings fans who hate him now are going to have a change in opinion.

As a Bulls fan, I hate to see him go. He always gave 110% every night, when the Bulls were making a run you could count on him coming up with a big 3. He kept the Bulls in a lot of games, when other guys were struggling, and in the Playoffs he had the United Center chanting his name.

There aren't many Bulls fans who hated Nocioni, so I doubt many Kings fans will. In fact most of you will probably love the way he plays the game.

He is a team player too, he won't complain if he starts or comes off the bench. He has always accepted his role with the Bulls.

I think the main objection is to his contract.

Hopefully, this situation would make Nocioni a more consistent player in terms of following within the offense and make better decisions.

I am glad they got Noc we were missing Artest like toughness, but moving from a middle of the road inconstant team to a consistantly inconsistant team won't help the old stats this year. But we will get a more consistant PG in the draft.

Here's the thing about Noch. When you guys are playing the Lakers, losing by 15 and Kobe has been just getting anywhere he wants for lay ups and dunks, Noch comes in and levels his arse as soon as he goes in for a lay up. Thats the point when you start to love Noch because you will know that no one else on your team has the cajones to do it.

I can live with that. I can't live with his contract though.

Agreed w/ Smills.

I really don't care what kind of player Noc is, he simply (appears so to me) isn't part of our "future roster." Therefore I view him simply as a contract and trade value. I can't live w/ either of those two.

How so? I think he has a good chance of remaining here, kind of like a Doug Christie maybe. Experienced no nonsense vet with some nice role player skills. We should be a better rebounding team and a better shooting team.

The fact is that he has a rare kind of contract in the NBA - a descending value deal. that is actually FAR more cap friendly than the normal type of deal that is an INCREASING value deal. Also, the last year of his deal is a TEAM option for 7.5 million that can be dropped at that point if it's no longer worth it. I am just happy to have a guy on the roster that WON"T have the rock stuffed down his throat over and over again. One thing that I have noticed about the Argentinian players (Nocioni, Ginobili, Oberto) is that they are tought and skilled and don't take *%&# from ANYONE! This is a nice change from the usual lazy, soft BS attitude around this franchise. I will be standing and cheering like a madman the first time I see some NBA "superstar" who nobody dares touch come down the lane and get his head handed to him so he thinks twice about coming back again!

No doubt will he be in a starter in the future until Greene develops 3-4 years from now, but Noc will lay people out and it is what we need. Will it affect our season this year? No we are still missing a PG. Are you seriously telling me you would want Beno-Martin-Greene-JT-Hawes starting because there is no way on earth an NBA team with 1 vet starter would win. The Kings played with 4 young starters before in the late 80's and we sucked for 4-5 years. Too much inexperiece gives up really easily, you know the problem before we got rid of 2 vet starters. One of the vets bigs will start at PF or C next year and we will draft a PG who will also be a rook so we have to have some vet presence to win.

The biggest hope that I have for Noc is that he might get these clowns here (besides Hawes and Thompson - who don't seem inclined to take ANYBODY'S crap) to toughen up and stop playing like little kitty cats (figure out the word for yourselves). SOMEBODY has to get them to man up, and I for one would be happy to see some guys pissed off because he knocks them around in practice and teaches them to play like real NBA MEN!

Gooden is more of an offensive player that could rebound. He has a nice shot, but is not much of a enforcer, or defender.

You think Nocioni can take Drew Gooden in a real fight?
Drew Gooden is a beast, I can't believe people are trying to say he is soft. Next time the Kings play the Bulls we will see how soft Drew Gooden is when he has 25 points 14 rebounds and like 3 blocks and 2 drawn charges. I am happy Drew will be under Kenny Natt, Drew was always really cool with him during his time in Cleveland. Natt knows what kind of offensive talent Gooden can be. Natt knows why Drew Goodens career numbers were average in Cleveland (stuck behind ballhog Hughes and James while not even getting starters minutes and having a coach in Mike Brown who just did not like Drew). Hopefully Drew Gooden plays soon and you will see why I have such high praise for him as a player and a person.

Sham summed things up pretty well as far as Nocioni goes.

I would only add that it's kind of hard to judge either Nocioni or Gooden from their play this year or last. The Bulls coaching has been abysmal for the last year. This season featured a rookie coach who had never coached before at any level. IMO, the tendency for Nocioni to run around like a chicken with his head cut off on defense and to chuck the ball recklessly from time to time reflected general team confusion and his attempt to fill in the gaps.

I'm sorry to see Nocioni go. Your coaches are going to love this guy. So will the fans. He'll do anything asked of him with enthusiasm and without complaint. He's a real team player who gives his all. And his all is pretty good. I know you're discomforted with the fact that his contract goes beyond 2010 (just as many Bulls fans and management were), but two years from now you'll be glad you got him.

I doubt you guys will hold onto Gooden this summer, but if you do it should be with the understanding that he needs to be playing beside a defensive all-star or two if you want to have decent interior defense. Otherwise, he's a fine big man to have coming off the bench. An excellent rebounder with a nice offensive game. Who knows? If he ever played in a reasonably stable system with a stable role and good coaching his disastrous defensive lapses might occur less frequently. The Bulls didn't have that.

Hopefully he follows up last game with another nice game. Raise his value, move him for worth over the next year or two.
