Would you guys trade kevin martin and jason thompson and kenny thomas to the suns for Amare Stoudemire Robin Lopez and a first round pick?

probably. as long as the pick is this year and unprotected and extend amare. i would rather trade martin for someone more like carmelo or joe johnson, but i doubt they will be avalible. Either way i think martin could be had for another proven player.

Unless Amare is extended, Kings shouldn't even consider this deal.

Would I trade Martin? Possibly. Would I trade Martin/Thompson and a large expiring for Amare. HELL NO.

The idea of Amare is to PAIR him with Martin to form a nucleus to build around.

I could get on board with a Thompson/Thomas/Houston pick type deal for Amare though. As that's about all he's worth without the assurance of signing an extension.

Yeah, that deal doesn't totally thrill me, especially since Thompson is playing great towards the end of this season.

To answer the posed question in the thread title, I would trade Martin for the right deal.

As stated, this clearly isn't that deal as we give up wayyy too much. I'm not opposed to trading for Amare but he would have to re-up. I find it very hard to believe that he would agree to a new contract here when he supposedly wants out of PHX. It's not like he would be coming to a better situation. I don't think there will be much life to Amare to Sacrameno. And there certainly won't be life if it is for this package.
