Re-doing the 2008 NBA Draft.

Post#1 » by xxSnEaKyPxx » Sat Jun 13, 2009 3:54 am

I thought it would be fun to go back and see what teams(okay their fans) would do differently if they could. I know a lot of ya'll are high on Thompson, but the Nets already grabbed him, so what would ya'll do in this scenario?

Bulls - Derrick Rose
Heat - Michael Beasley
Wolves - Brook Lopez
Thunder - Russell Westbrook
Grizzles - OJ Mayo
Knicks - Danilo Gallinari
Clippers - Eric Gordon
Bucks - Kevin Love
Bobcats - DJ Augustin
Nets - Jason Thompson
Blazers - Jerryd Bayless

With the reamaining crap. Ok thats a little harsh but if we were FORCED to take anyone and not trade down We would of took anthony randolph. But I would of rather traded down.

Joe Alexander?? Put Courtney Lee, Mario Chalmers or any other lol

I'd go with Randolph, with Speights close.

Yeah I think Chalmers would be a great pick here actually, but he's not an option.

Probably Randolph, but Rush would be a good choice too. I like Lee, he's played great in the post-season, but I probably wouldn't pick him here.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

To be fair^^, Gallinari produced when healthy this year. He just was rarely healthy.

In this situation, I don't know. I like Lee, but if we were going to go a route like that, I would rather go for need with Chalmers. But since we would still have a need at PF, I'd be stuck between Randolph and Speights. I think Randolph is probably the best prospect available, except for the fact that he doesn't have a position. That makes him a tough selection. I could easily change my mind on this, but if I had to pick somebody right now, I think it would be Speights.

I would pick Chalmers and wait a year to trade Salmons and Miller. Or do those trades and let Diougu and Simmons earn their pay. Or maybe Sheldon would have got more time. There would be options though.

I'd pick Randolph or McGee.

Hahaha to the teams still picking the same players. It's too recent for the fans to not be defensive about the players they took. Even if Thompson was available I still think I might take Randolph or McGee. I think both have more potential even though Jason is obviously a safer pick for multiple reasons.

If so many people are saying Chalmers, why has only one person chosen the "other" option?

Randolph, his rebounding and shot blocking would be a perfect fit with Spence Hawes.
