It depends on the Maloofs also and if they keep the very soft hands theyt kept on Thompson last year. They had talked with Jason WIlliams who told them he played too much as a rookie and never developed because of it. JWill was just an average player and couldn't deal with pressure situtations or being the man even getting kicked out of Florida 2 times. Some guys can deal with pressure and some can't and they should have committed to JT as the franchise the moment he started the season well and he may of had a shot at ROY.

I thought that was a terrible marketing decision with such a down year being so up and down with the guys playing time. Of course you don't know if a player will work out as a franchise guy you just have to committ and if they don't work you trade them. Hopefully they don't pull the same things with Evans if he can be the guy, once he earns a starter spot let him play with the good and bad and he will produce results.

I think Evans will put up a 16/5 next year.

The only thing that's going to keep the Kings in Sacramento is a new arena. We could bring Jordan out of retirement, Wilt out of the grave, and sign Jesus at PG, but without a new arena at some point.... the Kings are outta here!

I can see Evans winning it but he probably wont. No one is giving Thabeet a shot I know he has to develop but there are literally no other decent bigs on that team i can see him gettin 9/10 and 2.5 bpg and be a dark horse but with all that said Im going with Griffin, because one of the other 3 clippers bigs will be moved before the season, or right at the beginning of it.

Thats harsh bro.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

No way Evans will place 10th in ROY. Thats just ludicrous. As much as it's a possibility, for some reason our luck says he will not be ROY. Possibly 2nd, but honestly I say he'll come in 3rd. I think typically, the team itself needs to do well for Evans to take the award because if it's close at the end, I think it will go to a guy who's team was more successful.
can we just get a new arena already...

If you run down the list of rookies that is receiving the most minutes and assuming that Evans plays around the 25-35 range of minutes, he is a ROY candidate. Probably top 3 all year if he produces nicely IMO.

Even if he doesn't become ROY, it would be sweet to see him in the Rookie-Soph Challenge tearing up the competetion. Maybe all but Derrick Rose...but who knows? IMO That would certainly be a step in the right direction towards putting Sacto back on the map and setting the tone for the second half of the season.

Ok I would already be upset if Kings moved but now that I am actually excited about this team again, I would be absolutely heart-broken. I dont care if we have to bulldoze my house for the damn thing just get it built!

With those things (and in reality, a more competitive team) our chances of getting the new arena increase greatly. Right now there isn't a lot of positive feeling towards the Kings in Sac. A more successful team would turn that around.

The guys with no competition for their positions are the guys that win. Flynn (if RUbio stays) and Evans are the front runners. Blake is going to struggle to get playing time because the Clippers have 2 other PFs that are ridiculously expensive plus Kaman, Thabeet is probably coming off the bench behind Gasol, the Grizz will likely sign a PF with their cap room relegating Thabeet to the bench. Harden will be competing with Jeff Green I guess at the 2? Stephon Curry plays the same position as Motta.

So it will be Flynn or Evans. I'll guess Flynn.

It's simply a catch 22.

Maloofs want a new areana

City/fans won't give a new areana to a sh*tty team

Maloofs won't spend money to put together a nonsh*tty team

:-? Green is a PF-SF. Harden won't have much competition there.

I don't know if that's necessarily fair. You don't need to buy draft picks and go into the tax necessarily to have a "nonsh*tty" team.

It's not even that. Welcome to California, taxpayers are NEVER going to take the hit to build an arena, it just isn't going to happen. Lets just hope what ever contingency the NBA is coming up with works.

Exactly, until Califronia gets rid of the hippie spenders in office that run their government without a budget, then they'll continue to be taxed through the nose and unlikely to 'WILLFULLY' tack on another tax.

I'd like to officially change my vote to Blake Griffin now that Randolph is out of the way! ;)

As long as he is not turnover prone I would give him a training camp look...
