If the reason to trade Boozer is to free up money for Milsap then this trade doesn't make any sense for Utah.

Boozer is a great long term fix for Sacramento. He's the big time power forward that would serve Sacramento well for the next five years. Sign and trade is the ticket. 5 years and $75 million will do the trick for Boozer. He and Martin will each be the 20+ point scorers to focus the team around.

Agreed. I say if the cost is K-9 + some cap space, that's a no-brainer for us. Take him for the year and evaluate where we are then.

Maybe he's the answer, but I wouldn't put pen to paper on ANYTHING until after having a full year of Martin and Boozer playing together. Otherwise, it's just like having k-9's expiring, but we experimented with a BETTER player for one year and we have a SnT possibility next summer as an added option.

isn't that the same thing everyone said about Chris Webber when he resigned with the Kings for a lot of money? and ended up taking us almost all the way? (injury asside, it was worth it)

Eh, Webber was probably quite a bit better as a player. I agree, no long contracts. Boozer's expiring status would only help, that way if it doesn't work or he looks like he's on the way to 30 games a year status you just cut him loose.
