Who were the best and the worst players in Kings History?

Post#1 » by Mogwai: » Sat Dec 27, 2008 11:45 am

Hi guys!
Well, unfortunately this season has been awful so far, and it looks that the things aren’t going to change that much until the end. It’s going to be a very loooong season to our Kings, and could also be painful to our self-esteem.
So, and just for fulfill my curiosity and try to turn away our attention of this agonizing season, I would love to know who are/were the players that you consider the best and the worst in the Kings history (include the years in Rochester, Cincinnati, Kansas City and Sacramento)

The best, possibly:

Oscar – The Big “O” – Robertson?
Jerry Lucas?
Maurice Stokes?
Nate “Tiny” Archibald?
Ricky Berry? (it could have been, if he didn’t do that foolishness?)
Mitch Richmond?
Chris Webber?
Other?

And the worst, or putting in another words, the most disappointing players, maybe:

Pervis Ellison?
Tariq Abdul-Wahad?
Duane Causwell?
Pete Chilcutt?
Greg Ostertag?
Scot Pollard?
Kenny Thomas?
Or…?

Thanks.
I wish you all a very good 2009.
Compliments from Portugal
Sorry for my bad English

Olden Polynice

Your list of "worst players" isn't that bad.

Olden Polynice was the first that came to mind when i thought of worst. I think I hated him more than Kenny Thomas LOL.

The sad thing is, as bad as alot of those players were (Causwell, wow, I remember him going in games JUST to pick up fouls), our current team is WORSE! I would rather have KT 10 times out of 10 than some of those other names on the list but....we may be one of the worst teams in Sacramento Kings history.

Wow, Draino, are you so bored that you have nothing better to do than to drag up threads that are almost a year old?
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Ostertag should have played more, that was Adelmans fault. He looked good in the playoffs and finally put a stop to the asswhooping we got from Jerome James. Yet, Adelman didn't play him after that.

Best:
Oscar
C-Webb
Mitch
Tiny
Peja
Vlade
Martin
Bibby
Otis Thorpe

Most disappointing
Causewell
Mays
Bonner
Ellison
Ricky Berry
Abdul-Wahad
Douby
Billy Owens
Joe Kleine

While olden was a TOOL, he was the best center the Sacramento had seen in their franchise before Vlade came to town.

My dad used to work with a girl who partied with Cleaves. Said he smoked weed all the time.

Can't have Mateen on this list man, he was a spiritual leader of this team when he was here, didn't play much but he did his part off the bench

I understand what you're saying, but I just hated Mateen- personal vendetta.
