Kings swingman Francisco Garcia will miss at least four months of action after undergoing surgery on his injured forearm and wrist.

Garcia suffered the injury while lifting weights on Friday.

He averaged 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 65 games for Sacramento last season.

Interesting factoid in today's artivle:

Before the injury occurred, the 195-pound Garcia was lying on his back doing dumbbell presses with 90-pound weights in each hand, according to Kings players.

:o

90 lbs dumbbells on each hand? Kind of reminds me of this:

Gordon is one of the stronger guards in the NBA today. I would have to imagine Garcia was at excellent shape (I'm pretty sure he was. Look at this pic from preseason against the Blazers:)

I wish Garcia a speedy recovery if possible.

Sick. I am lowering my prediction of winning total to 24 games.
