Just found a fix to the main problem I was having with this damn game, and draft combine! You can turn off the defensive assisting!!! I can move somewhat free!! YAY! Hahaha. I was about to just drop the game totally because I hate the computer running up the floor and sticking near the nearest offensive player without my control.

I'm tempted to buy 2K10 for the PC (I don't have either a 360 or PS3). And it is very cheap too! $17.99 on amazon. Plus it has online capabilities. I just don't want to be suck into a vortex again and I'm in college now haha

CB-Blazer wrote:One of their main points was to start showing players as both sides of the ball. If you've played the 2K series for any amount of times, offensive players with sub-par defense were always ranked alot higher than defensive players with sub-par offense.

For example, Rondo is like the 10th highest ranked player in 2K. Not because he is great at anything but because he is good at nearly everything. (I do think they embellished on Rondo a bit because of his play-off series against Chicago though).

Players have taken a hit all around 2K.

Dirk is a 83
Aldridge is like a 75 or 77

They are both good offensive players but weak on the glass and nothing more than average defenders. They will both be one of the best offensive PF's in the game but their flaws are going to be highlighted even more.

Durant and K-Martin are both in the same situation. Great offensive players with flaws in their all around game; hence the low rating.

I haven't played it yet so I cannot comment on the actual game-play.

Another example is Jason Kapono. He is ranked a 59. If you played any other of the 2K series, a 59 would be nearly impossible to score with, period. From what I've heard, Kapono with consistenly hit 3's and offer pretty much nothing else. He will still be a decent 10th/11th player despite his 59 rating.

All rating systems have flaws, but this one seems to have the least (from what I've read).

I love the new rating system.

I haven't played it yet, but I know in all the old 2k games, I would be able to create entire rosters of all 90+'s and a starting 5 of all 99's. IMO 99 would signify that there is nothing left to improve in your game, and in today's game there are maybe 2 99's if that? (Kobe/Lebron) Everyone else has huge areas to improve upon.

But good explanation CB

Also in regards to Evans and his overall vs Lawson, I think it's just right. Lawson is a bit more NBA ready. Evans is definitely NBA ready, but he will take a little longer to adjust I think. Also Lawson is what he is in 2K10. His potential rating is pretty basic to above average. Evans potential rating in the game is tied with Flynn for the second highest after Blake Griffin.

I don't play video games all that much, but when I do(maybe a handful times a year) it's mainly basketball/football. I tried out a 2k8 for my PS3 a few times, and must admit, I've enjoyed NBA live version much more than 2k. They're similar, but I'm just partial to Live, probbaly since I grew up playing live during my childhood in the 90's.

The ratings on are terrible when it comes to our Kings, our players got shafted this year.

Are there other people on the boards lookin for a league on 360.

Don't forget the potential rating for how good a player can get. Lawson and Fynn's are like in the high-mid 70's, while Tyreke is in the high 80's. Looking at the Kings as a potential association team since I never homer with my Bucks in the game.
Stephen Jackson wrote:"I got a video off the French Montana beat that I shot in the condo. The condo was laid, man. I had a gate with a key...Yeah, Milwaukee is a nice place but the team sucked."
