Exactly Smills. I try to be unbiased, and whats frustrating is the stuff call something on JT they won't call on the other team. Its garbage.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

I think Thompson should stop whining and overreacting to every foul. This is not good, reputation-wise. The refs will recognize you as this whiny basketball player that reacts to every foul and this would completely destroy any credibility from the player's standpoint.

Well, there is an argument that, maybe, it's the fact that Thompson isn't yelling towards the refs/fouls but he is frustrated towards himself. Knowing that Thompson is a very competitive and energetic player, he is prone to taking it against himself. It doesn't seems like he is balking at the official either.

But ultimately, I would like to see Thompson not overreacting to fouls that much. It can be perceived as negative in a ref's point of view regardless.

He has the talent and skill, he just needs to control himself, and I think the same can be said about Hawes as well. They're both young, so I think they'll get eventually.

It's gotta be frustrating though....he gets the most nit-picky calls against him. And it take him out of hte game, thus reducing his rhythm in the game.

I agree Smills, but unfortunately that's part of the game. He doesn't have the name recognition so he'll often get the short end of the stick when something gets called (or not called). He just has to play through it and not let it get to him.

That's my issue. I don't accept that premise. It's Stern BASTARDIZING the integrity of the game.

Thompson just doesn't play like a smart player. He knows he has to keep his hands straight up and he just doesn't do it. Does he have horrible calls against him? Yes every game...but he needs to learn how to play through it and suck that ish Up.

It's a catch 22 with JT. His erratic nature is a big aspect of what makes him special at some of the things he does, yet, it's also a big aspect of why I think he projects much better in the role of a 6th man. Like a very rich mans Anderson Varejao.

I think the ultimate hope for him is is that he can calm himself down around the basket. It seems like as soon as he catches it around the basket, he's just in such a hurry. Also, this mentality he has is the main reason he is so foul prone.

Ultimately, I think one can be very energetic without being erratic. I think that should be the hope for JT.
