No, no question about it. The Lakers should wipe the floor with a young team like the Kings. The elephant in the room suggests a few things about the Lakers and maybe a few things about the Kings.

And let me say this right now. Saturday, January 2nd, 2010. The Lakers do NOT wanna see us in the playoffs. We've shown the entire league what we're about and that we will not back down from ANYBODY. Not even the world champs. Not even in THEIR house. Right now, I think Kings / Lakers (if it happens) goes the full 7 games and quite possibly might be the most entertaining series of the year.

The Kings have a good, young nucleus, I will admit. But Spencer Hawes also had the game of his LIFE! I realize you guys didn't have Evans or Martin, but the Lakers didn't have Artest (our best perimeter defender) in either game vs. Sac either.

The notion that the Lakers fear the Kings in any way is straight-up delusional. If you would like to challenge the team with the best record in the NBA in a best-of-seven series, I suggest getting to .500 first.

Records don't matter. In 2 HEAD-TO-HEAD matchups thus far, you guys needed miracle plays to stay in the game and to beat us. And I said that it would be an entertaining series. So what? Can you sit there with a straight face and say that it WOULDN'T be? After the games we have all witnessed?
I didn't say FOR SURE that we'll beat you guys, but we WILL give you your biggest challenge since Houston last year. I notice that when teams actually decide to play HARD against the Lakers (rather then the majority who simply lay down in the face of Kobe Bryant), they tend to not look quite as "supreme" as their image and legacy would otherwise suggest.

Houston played hard and took you to the limit with a NOTHING squad. Denver played hard for HALF the series and looked as though they might give you a run as well. Only problem is, they STOPPED playing hard towards the second half, and started playing more of a "desparate" game. Orlando just disappointed me COMPLETELY, especially after the performance they put on against Lebron. It's like they didn't even KNOW what to do anymore. When I watch their games, and I watch the other team's body language, it seems as though at least 75% of Laker wins are on pure intimidation alone. People just get scared when they see Kobe, and they play "trying not to lose" rather than "playing to win". Just my personal opinion...

The Lakers have a couple of very large weaknesses that can be easily exploited. They should and have to be worried considering they have no bench and one of the worst PG rotations in the league, hence why they got creamed by Cleveland on their own floor and barely beat sub .500 teams like Milwaukee and our Kings.

I'm not sure on this one, but watching the replay again, Kobe's foot looked mighty close to the sideline.

No it didn't, it looked 3 inches past the line, CLEARLY out of bounds.
