Just got finished watching it (yes, it's 4am). I had a good feeling about this game, and I am absolutely thrilled to have matched our win total of last season.

I think one thing we saw was that Kevin can score in the clutch--just not when he starts off with the ball in his hands. Every single shot he took in the final minutes and OT were either in motion (on plays designed for him) or on kickouts. If this is how he is used, he will be effective. No ifs ands or buts, he will be effective.

And man, Tyreke had a very inefficient scoring game, but outside of that, good lord. He had trouble penetrating at times, and when he did, he settled for jumpers when he would have been better off passing it off, but when he did drive, he was pretty damn amazing.

JT and Donte also deserve major props--they both played excellent games.

I know it was the Knicks and they didn't have Gallinari for most of the second half (though I'd also love to have Cisco of course), but that felt like a real win. Our last real win was really the second Denver game (the Warriors game was perhaps the most hideous, horrible win ever). We survived a career game from Chandler (and it wasn't all poor D on our part--the guy was really playing terrific ball--though I would have liked to have seen us make him more of a passer), and found a way to pull it out. After the way we've been playing recently, this, while not a perfect game by any stretch of the imagination, was such a breath of fresh air.

Agreed, I want him to shoot because he believes he can make the shot. I dont care if missed it i just want him to shoot the ball with confidence.

You sound like a motivational speaker

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

One game, and you forget all of the other games were he failed miserably in the clutch. And you call me out on small sample sizes...

And may I remind everyone that this game was against the Knicks, coached by D'Antoni. Not exactly a defensive juggernaut... They also had Nate (who I call N-ain't) guarding Martin much of the time.

Martin needs to do this consistently, and against good teams, not just one game against a joke of a franchise. This kind of goes for everyone too, not just Martin.
