I was at the Boston game and I'll tell you what I saw.
In the first half, Kevin saw basically single team from Ray Allen who he has essentially OWNED the past several matchups. He basically did what he wanted and was having a nice game. In the second half things changed. Doc Rivers switched the defensive matchups and the defenders started gettign more physical. As usual, Kevin virtually disappeared. By the time the late fourth quarter rolled around, the game had turned into a combination of basketball and a rugby scrum. Kevin pretty obviously wanted nothing to do with it.
Pretty obviously the whole tenor of the team has changed. Tyreke, Omri, JT, Brockman, Udoka - hell, even Donte are all VERY physical basketball players. Kevin is NOT. He disappears in a physical matchup without somebody to open things up for him. Quite honestly I feel that Houston is actually a bad fit for him. Yao is NOT a really physical center, and the rest of that team is not exactly bruisers. I think that Kevin will have a LOT of trouble getting clear shots and this will hurt him a lot. He also will continue (for the forseeable future) to have to be "the man" and that just isn't him.
All in all I'm really of no opinion about the whole Fegan thing. I am well aware that agents have a controlling stake in many of the transactions that happen (or don't) in pro sports. In the end I don't think that Petrie would have made any sort of final decision based on that. Pretty much the same as I felt about the Arn Tellem BS with McGrady not coming - so what? So keep sitting the rest of the year and good luck getting anything more than a vet minimum sontract next year right before the hard cap.

Kevin Martin is starting to sound like a cry baby.
