Well KF10, you put up a good fight...but the schedule (and injuries) just weren't in your favor.

Now Mobi, it's down to you and me! The match up that's been waiting to happen for a couple of years. It may end up being close, but I think my knack of having your number will play in my favor. Good luck next week!

Yeah, injuries was crazy for me.

But I would call this season as a success though. In my 2nd year here, making it to the 2nd round of the POs was great IMO.

Won the matchup against mitch and lost to a very good team from yours (KIE).

Right now I would say that I have 4 cats locked and think it will be hard for FT% to really move a lot. I'm not declaring anything yet because s*** happens. But I'm starting the day feeling good. We'll see in a few hours.

Thanks Mobi. It got way to close for comfort during the Houston/Indiana game with Ariza throwing a bunch of bricks from the FT line. You were great competition for the week and did not fold at the end! Looking forward to battling you next year defending my title.

Speaking of next year, we should make some decisions soon about the off season and about whether or not there will be format changes for next season. Since Smills was the most vocal person advocating format changes and he's no longer in the league, do others have a strong interest in changes? Also, since Smills is out we need to find someone to replace him.

Didn't we agree to keep 5 players this time instead of 4? Thats all I remember, that 5 keepers would be from now on.

I think we did, but that was with Smills and Smills was the primary guy advocating that change. Personally, I don't care whether it's 4 or 5 keepers. I guess I'm leaning slightly towards just 4 keepers, just to give other guys a chance to improve.

As far as draft order, I have no opinion yet.

I wanted us always to kind of emulate the NBA draft process, but it's a little difficult, and not always rewarding for the winners of the league. So as an incentive, the top 3 teams get to keep 6 players, while everyone else keeps 5 (you'll see in just a bit how this will work out).

This is what I came up with (based on how this season ended):

What does this exactly accomplish? We give the bottom teams a chance (basically the worst record almost has a 50% chance at the No.1 pick), while at the same time protecting the top 3 teams of the league (they keep their top 6th man so to speak)... well, you might say; isn't this basically the same thing as having the top 3 records pick first... actually no, because what happens is that 7 teams have to keep 5 players, which leaves 7 good players to the pool, granted the top 3 records basically get to keep a first round pick for free, but that's when the second round of the draft comes it, because it then starts in reverse order based on the worst record, just think of the NBA Draft's 2nd round and you'll get the idea.

Also, some other things I wanted to bring forth. In the off-season before we announce our keepers, we can still trade with other players, without mentally limiting yourself to the amount of keepers (i.e. you have 7 great keepers, and you wanna make a 2 for 1 deal so that you can get a better overall guy that the two you're dealing, and someone will deal you, lets say LeBron for 2 players with great upside, like real rebuilding teams).
