With the right offseason effort, the existing Kings team has the ability to push beyond the .500 mark for 2010-2011. To do so, this is what each key player should improve on:
Tyreke: shooting, court vision, conditioning
Greene: shooting, even better defense, strength and conditioning
Omri: strength and conditioning, defense (lateral movement- staying in front of player)
I see Omri and Greene having a healthy competition for starting 3 spot (barring big trade or draft). Both have the potential to start and play well for a good NBA team, so next summer/season should be interesting. I hope both answer the call and improve dramatically (esp. Greene, with big upside).
Thompson: defense (namely shot blocking and better rotation), post-skills
Hawes: Strength, Defense (shot-blocking, rotation, aggressiveness), offensive aggressiveness (he shows skill and ability, now we need to see more consistency all-around)
Landry: Rebounding, Defense
Kings have a solid young team, and if we see the improvement these players are capable of in the offseason, especially with a good draft pick and one FA signing, we can contend for playoffs. Thoughts?
These Kings players must improve during offseason

Re: Offseason Player improvements
I know thompson is a good rebounder all ready but is it just me or does he slap at the ball more than anything? I think he could work on his positioning as the shot goes up rather than waiting for it to hit the rim and hope it comes his way. He could be a legit 10 rebound guy with decent minutes if he worked at it. I am also surprised with landry's athleticism that he is only a 5-8 rpg guy.

Yeah, Landry's low numbers surprise me with the amount of athleticism and effort he seems like he should be a 8-10 rpg guy

Give him some time, he's never been a full time starter, so he's not used to conserving his energy throughout an entire game. Besides, if we pick Cousins, I won't complain if he gets 6-7 per game next year, because Cousins will be hogging all the rebounds

Landry's rebounding is kind of strange. He rebounded well per minute his first year but since then he's been non-existent. A lot of it has to do with the fact that he just simply doesn't go after the ball on the defensive boards. He's aggressive on the offensive boards but on defense he just kind of pushes his man out and doesn't look to collect the rebound.
