You don't know D76F unless you've seen his posts on the CA board. Especially his political manifesto one.

With all due respect sir, I have lived through (I assume) straight face arguments of : Lou Williams > Allen Iverson, Thad Young = Carmelo 2.0 and Andre Iguodala is the worst offensive perimeter player in the NBA.

I've seen things that can't be unseen.

(Oh, we get the politics too...)

God no. Why are we even throwing in the extra value there?

It stuns me that people would believe the Kings want Prince or place a lot of value in dumping Nocioni. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, points to the opposite of those 2 things.

first Prince got an expiring contract, Nocioni 2 more years left...Prince is still a pretty good player, certainly better than Nocioni...as a Pistons fan its hard to give up Prince to move up 2 spots so i added the 2nd round pick...so you have no interest in a Cousins for Monroe swap, dumping Nocioni and getting a pretty good player in Prince?

The Pistons are looking to make some changes and it is believed that either Richard Hamilton or Prince will be dealt.

Sources told Yahoo! Sports that Sacramento is open to trade possibilities. They have the fifth pick in this month's NBA Draft and they are also looking to accommodate Andres Nocioni's trade request.

The Kings are currently sitting roughly $20mil under the cap and are NOT a prime free agent destination. There's very little incentive to dump Nocioni.

The Kings were the youngest team in the league last year and had the 3rd worst record. To me, that doesn't exactly say "let's go get a good role player".

Joe Asberry wrote:so you have no interest in a Cousins for Monroe swap, dumping Nocioni and getting a pretty good player in Prince?

No, I don't. Prince does nothing for this team. If anything, he just stunts the growth of our wing prospects--that alone is a reason for getting rid of Nocioni (to make more time for Greene/Casspi). Dumping Nocioni has little value for this team. They aren't over the cap so dumping his contract isn't a direct financial savings (in fact, if they were so Hell bent on financial savings they'd just refrain from spending this summer). They also aren't a prime free agent destination, thus creating $6.5mil of cap space next year holds little value. As for Cousins vs. Monroe:

a) Cousins is the FAR superior prospect to Monroe
b) You can't even guarantee that Monroe is there at 7 with the Warriors sitting at 5 and in need of an offensive big man (which Cousins or Monroe would fit)

You're basically telling the Kings to move down 2 spots and get a far inferior prospect in exchange for, well, nothing that actually benefits them.

So well, how does either McGee + #30 + Young + future 1st sound for Nocioni + 5?

Or if we're able to get the #9 for taking on Kirilenko, would #9 + McGee + #30 (or the future first) interest you for Nocioni + #5?

You can still target Aldrich with #9, or even Monroe if you're lucky, unless you're set on Cousins.

First of all, I'm not sure why Sacramento would trade the 5 pick when they can draft Cousins, but if you do trade the pick, would you be interested in taking Utah's #9, a conditional 1st round pick from Memphis, and a player from the Jazz?

I guess it depends on whether or not Cousins is still available, if he is the value is high, if he isn't than the value is low.

I think Cousins could be a Charles Barkley-type player in the pros, but bigger obviously. The only downside is that if he's playing aggressively at that weight, he could have some injury problems.
