Yeah, Geiger's tweet is very misleading because there is nothing from both sides reporting anything.

Re: Prince?
1st off the KINGS do not need CHARLEY V.
Aside from that guys I am not saying we will or wont make a trade to get PRINCE but that said guys please someone , anyone name me 1 time PETRIE has ever tipped his hand to anyone in the media , sac bee writers , Sam Amick or anyone else that he was about to do a trade ? Answer = never why because it's not PETRIE'S way of doing things he keeps trades very close to his vest we never know until a trade happens. We can speculate , be insightful whatever but the only information Petrie ever feeds us is that he gives indications as to what his goals are for us & the direction he is trying to go in for our organization but thats about it !
The only real fact he has given in reguards to moves is that he is more than willing to deal NOC but at the same time he know he has some value & wont give him away !

Dead story. He sited Chad Ford as his source and Ford said nothing close to anything concrete. In fact, even he was just speculating.

Re: Prince?
So just throwing this idea out there. I think a few adjustments would have to be made, however I think this is a decent idea. The only team I could not see doing this is the
Sac Out:
Garcia
Nocioni
5th Pick
Sac In:
Prince
Collison
Emeka
11th Pick
Why for Sacramento: First, the Kings are not trilled about taking Cousins and decide that one of the players they want can be had at 11. At 11 the Kings can then look at Babbit, Hayword, and Whiteside. Next, They add a big defensive presence in Emeka. Along with Emeka, Prince should make the Kings a much better defensive scoring and rebounding team. They add a playmate for Evans in the back court. In the end the Kings are able to use their cap space for two players who make this team much better. Prince being an exp. contract frees up some room for next year.
Det Out:
7th Pick
Prince
Det In:
Nocioni
5th Pick
Why for the Pistons: They move up to grab Cousins and they break up Prince's contract into two years.
Hornets Out:
Collison
Emeka
11th Pick
Horents In:
Garcia
7th Pick
Why for Horents: They end up sheding a lot of salary and are able to move up in the draft to get someone like Greg.

Re: Prince?
I dont know why it would be logical to trade down when Cousins is available. Dont u guys think that the Maloofs would prefer Cousins over Monroe or Whiteside? Kings need to satisfy their fans. But dont be suprised if GP does pass on DMC to take Monroe/Whiteside. We saw this happen last year, everyone wanted Rubio but we took Reke. But I would think DMC has a better future than the other two
Kings get: Collison, Peja, Mo Pete & #11
Hornets get: Garcia, Hawes, #33 & future protected 1st
Kings get: Gadzuric
Bucks get: Noc & future 2nd
Kings draft Cousins and X.Henry
PG: Reke/Collison/Undrafted Rookie
SG: Henry/Beno
SF: Greene/Casspi
PF: Landry/Brockman
C: Cousins/JT/Gadzuric

Honestly if the Kings decide to not select Cousins they probably will have had major concerns about him. There will probably be things that most people do not know about that will have stopped us from taking him. Next, I dont think it is Geoff or the Kings job to take someone that makes Kings fans happy. If that is how they drafted we would have taken John Wallace over Peja, taken Ricky over Evans, taken Randolph over Thompson. At this point I am glad they dont do what Kings fans say they should do.
I think that is a decent idea with your trade proposal. I would like the Kings take someone like Whiteside, Hayword, or Babbit over Henry at 11.

Re: Prince?
^ Agreed. I think this all boils down to "are the kings sold on DMC?" IF they are, the take him, plain and simple. If not.....then it makes sense to rid yourself of Noce, grab a experienced Vet, and grab the player you really want anyways. Why not accomplish 3 things at once instead of just one?
With that said, I'm intruiged with Cousins and would like to see him on the Kings. But if they have concerns about him for whatever reason, I'll roll with it.

Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
That just happened.

Yeah we should I agree that GP will make a good pick and recognizes talent. Since 2004 he's been drafting great. Except for that Douby character. But when I was saying why they would pass on Cousins, I also meant to say why bring in Prince?

Re: Prince?
The Pistons are paying more than enough to move 2 spots, but they are paying pennies for what Cousins might turn out to be.
Currently Cousins is by far the most interesting player is the guys available at #5, and unless there is a very good reason not to take him, no (realistic) deal is good enough.
