Little risk for a guy who could be good reward if he happens to bounce back to his original potential. And if he doesn't work out, it's not like the team would be saddled with an albatross contract.

I've always wanted to do that.

I say give the kid a shot. If he shows us something great, if he doesn't he's not likely to be signed for much money so it won't hurt the team to have him, and he'd be easy enough to cut if we needed the roster spot.

Oh, I'm totally serious. I don't see why he is such an unrealistic look as a cheep vet-min option. He is a shooter, has demonstrated ability beyond the arch and can be used as a role player off the bench. And It's not like he would be getting big money if he were signed.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

^^^exactly if it doesn't work out he would likely be on a small contract that our team could comfortably waive.

If Petrie sees something I don't, than fine. Worth a shot I guess, but he's never shot over 40% during a season, including his "decent" rookie campaign. That's worse than Brandon Jennings, a lot worse. I have no idea where he got this "shooter" label from.

Some guys just don't transition into the NBA, even if they were studs in college.

why tnot? We only have 10 players right now and we can have 15 if we want. It doesn't mean he's gonna play anything but spot minutes if he doesn't contribute

A.MORRISON would be just fine he is an off the bench type guy he likely would not see more than between 8-16 minutes a game ave. he is a pure shooter & solid at the line . No attitude problem either a solid role player IMO .
I dont think we will sign him but if we do i will be okay with it providing we dont overpay for him !

I have accepted the fact that, eventually, someone from my hated Gonzaga will wear Kings purple.

But if it's Morrison, I'll be incredibly pissed.

Why waste our time with this guy? You don't think the Bobcats (who were desperate to save face when they picked him #3) and then thus Lakers tried to find any talent in him?

He's got none. He was a good college player and not an NBA player. I'd rather sign Christmas or another SL guy. Ryan Thompson. Or hell. Anyone but that scrub whiner.

If we signed him it would take Omri or Greene to get hurt until the transient stepped on the floor. If we signed him I wouldn't lose any sleep but I would rather have someone picked out of the D-League than have to look at that guys mug every game.

Yeah Adam Morrison isn't a great player all jokes aside, it's not like it would be the end of the franchise if we signed him. We'd probably at the very least get some lulz out of it I.E. Ostertag.

According to Sam Amick of Fan House it doesn't sound like Adam Morrison will be joining the Kings this year. I'm sure some of you are disapointed.
