Who's overrating anyone? No one (almost, no one) is saying that a Nelson/Landry wouldn't necessarily be a good trade value wise, but after FINALLY getting depth in the front court, why would we trade it away? Whiteside is no where near being ready to be a back up for us, so who exactly would back up Thompson? Greene at PF again? No...

^^I'm gonna say it. Nelson's value isn't that high. He put up beno numbers last year. Landry is super efficient and very scrappy in the post.

Jameer Nelson is the most overrated player in the NBA. Why trade Landry for a player like Nelson when you can trade him for Billups and get Solomon Jones from the Pacers just to get the deal done?

i think it's the best time to trade Landry, i think he is overrated - he is black hole on offense and bad defender, he is no more than sixth man type player, if Kings could get Nelson from him it wiil be great, Nelson in Orlando is more of a shooter PG but he could also a pick & roll player and distribute, also it will give Thompson much more room to play and Thompson has much more potential than Landry at the 4 position and he is a great fit to DMC!

In terms of looking at the deal with JUST Landry and Nelson it's a good deal.

I just have a thing against trading bigs for smalls. You typically don't want to do it unless there is a glaring reason. I think Nelson is better than Udrih. I don't think he's so better than Beno though that we look to make this move however. I just don't see the reason for the Kings to do this deal?

Furthermore I'd like to see Tyreke Evans at the PG position. I'm sorry but most PG's who are true PG's don't come into the league and show the ability to completely run an offense like a veteran. Steph Curry didn't do it. Brandon Jennings at times did it. Deron Williams didn't do it as a rookie. Steve Nash didn't do it as a rookie. I don't understand why Reke can't go through the same learning process in this area?

Tyreke Evans is our PG!

bro...you are talking crazy...i wouldn't trade for jameer nelson because of his size and lack of defensive ability, not because he is the reason the magic underperform...get your facts straight the reason why the magic underperform is called dwight howard.

b4 ppl start going for my head just think about it. everyone knows howard is a beast. he's a beast on defense and a beast on the boards. and when he has his feet set in front of the basket he's unstoppable. the problem is he doesn't get the ball with his feet in front of the basket enough, and when he has his back to the basket, or has to move his feet for a shot, howard is just plain old horrible on offense. the dude has no offensive game aside from his athletisism. and the reason why the magic have underperformed the last few years is his fault.

the last three seasons howard has shown no improvement on offense. sure he averages 12 rebs and 2.5 blks, but for the last 3 seasons his scoring has come down. this last season i think he averaged 17 ppg. suffice to say if howard had developed his post game, even if he averaged 24 ppg (which is not even top 10 in this league), the magic would be unstoppable (lewis would get better WIDE OPEN LOOKS, and carter would have to shoot less get tired less and go to the basket more). to say the least, the magic offense would work to perfection b/c then all the teams would have to double on howard all the time (ala shaq).

the reason why lewis doesn't get wide open looks in the playoffs is because in the PO in the east, most of the top teams play great defense. take a defense like boston. they rarely double on dwight and are able to guard lewis straight up. a guy like lewis is not good unless he's shooting by himself. then the reason why carter has to shoot so much is because lewis is underperforming and since carter is old, he can't go to the basket as many times as he should cause he gets tired and starts missing jumpshots (lots of them). while if howard didn't suck so much on offense, all these problems would be resolved. so next time you start bashing a player and blaming him for a team's lack of success don't be such a hater and analyze the whole issue and how the team is structured to work in order to succeed.

OT-i don't know if he's 8, he might be 5 IDK
