The Whiteside pick was a homerun for the second round. The Kings are going to be fine. They just need to add a true general at point so that Evans can play the two. That frontcourt is downright nasty to think about.

Chauncey Billups and Solomon Jones for Carl Landry?

Most Kings fans think that a true point next to Tyreke wouldn't work, considering how much Tyreke needs the ball. I really don't think we need to play Tyreke as a SG. Rather, he is a PG in a SG body, like DWade or LeBron need the ball and yet may not be PGs.

As to the topic, I agree with Wolfay in Cousins being the most NBA ready. In terms of his skills on the floor, he showed a ton of post moves and passing skills that many veterans don't have. What limited him was his stamina, and that, as mentioned, was primarily due to the 6 games in 7 days. I think that is probably what frustrated him the most.

I know that people want to look for problems with his personality and work ethic to confirm the long held suspisions, but you can't find any about his work ethic. The guy wants to win more than anyone else on that court, it's just a fact, and anyone that says otherwise didn't ever watch him in college.

Jazz fan here (and the kings biggest fan in Utah probably).

I looove reke, took him for my fantasy team in like the 11th round and couldnt stop watching him after that. I argue all the time with my lakers friends why the lakers would be better off trading kobe for evans (not for next year, but for tyreke's 10 years of potential).

I also really wanted the Jazz to either draft cousins, or trade jefferson or whatever for him. All the haters can talk about how he's too selfish (uhm, great passing skills anyone) or not motivated (he looks pretty motivated on the court), but the dude can dominate on both sides of the court. Nuff said.

They're like 20 and 19 respectively right? You guys are gonna have homecourt for sure in the first round within 4 years.

You've got the hardest positions filled (ball-handling guard / center), great talent etc etc. It's not even worth arguing with the people who think otherwise.

Here's hoping that Tyreke adds a nice jumper this summer.

We really have all of the important pieces that are needed to build a contender. We have the budding stars in Tyreke and Cousins and the consistency up front in Landry and Thompson. I love the supporting pieces that we have in Casspi, Greene and Whiteside and I feel like if we could add a great perimeter defender and maybe a better PG then we would be set.
