CHICAGO SACRAMENTO 2 PLAYER SWAP

Would Kings fans be open to a James Johnson for Jason Thompson swap. It's basically a change of scenery trade.

Why would you want Thompson if you guys have Taj there? And consider the fact that Boozer will eventually return, Thompson's minutes will be crunched like he was back in Sacramento.

And JJ will never see the light on the court if he was with the Kings either. He will not get minutes over: Garcia, Casspi, Greene.

I don't think either players will flourish either way. At least for Thompson he is getting over 10+ minutes while JJ hasn't even crack 10 minutes in the last 3 weeks.

I'm never a fan of JJ btw. He seems to be a guy that is not motivated at all (although he lost some weight).

It's more like a how-dumb-are-Kings-fans trade. It seems like we're getting crapped on left and right.

Tough one. Big fan of James Johnson still, but it just transfers the burden of the logjam and spreads it over 2 positions. I will say this however, Westphal would finally have that SF/PF like he's been trying to find in JT.

Oh and don't underestimate James Johnson's talent level. He's got way more talent and skill than he's been allowed to show in Chicago. Better defender too.

No more than you seemingly prescribe the average joe notion of our players > your players with no real reasoning or basis that you can draw from with any discernible facts and figures other than, "he must suck since he doesn't play much." I guess they could say the same about JT right about now huh?

More like a keen eye for talent. 8-) James Johnson has some serious skill. Really liked him at Wake Forest, in fact search back far enough and I'm sure I asserted my man crush a few times. hahaha.

Just because a guy plays limited minutes on an established team, or has on and off games to go with his on and off minutes doesn't mean I'm going to write the dude off as a "scrub". Happens all the time in the NBA and leaves more than than a few GM's (and fans BTW) with a little egg on their face. I've seen him perform, he's got talent, don't think it disappeared, may be other problems in relation to his game switching over to the wing spot but he's talented regardless. Apparently the Bulls thought so as well since they drafted him a few spots lower than where Jason Thompson was picked.

Yeah, like Ike Diogu? It's like deja vu all over again.

Talent is talent, I'll debate Diogus talent level all day. I think the course of events that followed our total and absolute non-interest in re-signing Diogu speak volumes of what actually happened in that scenario. They somewhat mirror our apparent disinterest in re-signing Vlade Divac a few years earlier that left the town of Sacramento in quite an uproar. Look at the career path of both and some striking resemblances will jump out at you. In hindsight it makes perfect sense why the Kings had no interest re-signing Diogu. HIS KNEE WAS SHOT. Soon as he left here he signed a minimum deal with New Orleans and immediately went out with MICROFRACTURE surgery. Yeah, scary word here in Sac. Makes sense why the guy was pretty much doomed that summer. Had I known that little tidbit I'm pretty sure my tune would have changed as well.
