RENTING MELO ?

Post#1 » by dozencousins » Sat Nov 20, 2010 2:51 am

ACCORDING TO THE REALGM FRONT PAGE :
Some NBA teams are considering dealing for Melo without any guarantees of him resignin so I propose this ? to all are you willing to take the chance of getting Melo as a rental this season with the very real possibility he will play elsewhere next year ?

For me I lean more towards the answer being a No .
That said I am not completely opposed to it but it would really depend on what we have to give up

What are your thoughts ?

HELL NO!! I'm sorry but I don't see him staying in SacTown. And i would hate to loose key players for basically nothing.

Definitely not without an extension. With donte never playing then starting and now omri not playing plus JT not getting minutes we got young valuable guys we could trade. But it would be idiotic to trade them for a rental. I do think we need to make a trade for a vet though.

It's for rental, not long term.

No thanks, rather have a guy who plays D and shoots 3s like a Tayshaun Prince. Plus it would be nice to get a continuous return on our investment, IE a player who sticks around.

Yeah, rather have a player like Prince or Battier but if we didn't have to give up much, yeah, why the hell not!

Denver would have to drop their expectations as far as return for what they expect in return, and significantly, for it to make sense for Sacramento to trade for Melo as a rental.
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.
