Keys to the kingdom game

Post#1 » by Dustin5566 » Sun Dec 5, 2010 7:25 pm

Premise of this game is YOU control the kings. Not just trades or rotations but the entire franchise

What would you do??

Trades
new coach
Petrie
how would u get the fans back??
Arena issue

all other thoughts you have concerning the franchising.

Will post my thoughts when i get to my computer.

the attendance is not bad, but will get worst with the months as the team get more and more losses, so i think tickets should be cheaper to attract people.

there is no need of a new coach, this one is perfect for tank, in sumer '11 then the kings will obviously need a decent coach to start competing.

and about trades i don´t think the kings need a point guard, with udrih and evans is more than enough.
udrih 36 mins, evans 12 mins
evans 28 garcia 20 mins
greene 24 mins casspi 24 mins
thompson 24 mins landry 24 mins
dalemebert 26 mins cousins 22 mins

We defiantly need a PG, one who can pass, shoot, and play DEFENSE!! Udrih is good but he lacks defense.

WHAT ! Attendance not bad I have been to several of games this year where the Arena is only 35% - %40% full that is horrible !

My ticket agent just yesterday called me & offered me tickets to the Heat game if the Kings cant even sell out the more populkar teams that speaks volumes !!!!!

1. Sit tyreke for 1 week to give him time to heal.
2. Trade Dalembert and Casspi to Cavs for Gibson TPE and a lotto protected 1st
3. Trade Landry for Jeff Green
4. Lower ticket price's by 10% across the board
5. Start a marketing campaign to get Tyreke in the All star game, even if it isn't successful it will get our team some more recognition.
6. Let Westphal pilot this team for the rest of the season and see what he does with a team that is built a little bit more toward Tyreke's and Cousin's strengths

Rotation
Beno 30/Gibson 18
Tyreke 36/Gibson 12
J Green 30/Garcia 18
Thompson 20/D Greene 24/Whiteside 4
Cousins 34/Thompson 14

Sure it isn't the largest front court but it's good in transition and has solid defensive talent. And when the time is right Whiteside will be the perfect 3rd bigman to have backing up both spots and Thompson will move mostly to PF.

1. Fire Westphal and let Ellie finish the season. If he shows something promising, keep him, if not, spend some money and bring in a proven coach.
2. Trade! Either trade Landry for Marcus Thornton or try and package Dally, Landry, Casspi and 2011 first (protection varies on player returning) for any of the following: Josh Smith, Danny Granger, Kevin Love, Rudy Gay, Gerald Wallace, Eric Gordan, Tony Parker. I have other players I would love to get as well but the premise of my trade would be moving Landry and Dally and would be willing to give up our first round pick for the right player.

yday it was more than 50%, most probably because it was saturday, anyway, thats my point, ITS NOT FULL BECAUSE ITS TOO EXPENSIVE, i would go to more games if it wasnt this expensive.

I dont know about PW. Even though he seems horrible, I wanna see what he can do with a team with more developed talent. So I'll keep him, for now.

Trade 1:
Kings: Iggy & Songaila
Sixers: Landry, Casspi & 2012 protected 1st

Trade 2:
Kings: Maynor, Mo Pete & Krystic
Thunder: Dally, Pooh & 2011 2nd round pick

Trade 3:
Kings: Nazr Mohammed
Bobcats: Garcia

We need a developed player as our 2nd option behind Reke, and Iggy is available. I'd keep Greene rather than Casspi because he can play some SG and Sixers would want Casspi. The second trade brings in a young point that can run the plays and set players up. And even though Thunder have Ibaka, his natural position is PF and they're gonna need a goalie in the playoffs. Trade 3 just gives up Garcia. I like Garcia but we need playing time for Donte. Nazr, Songaila, Krystic & Mo come off the books after the season so I'd say we release Mo, Krystic and Nazr.

PG: Maynor(27), Udrih(21), Head
SG: Reke(36), Greene(12), Head
SF: Iggy(36), Greene(12)
PF: JT(30), Songaila/Jackson(18)
C: Cousins(30), Whiteside(13), Jackson(5)

To me, the only way people start coming to the games is if we start winning some. The trades should do exactly that. But we'll need another year of development and a 2011 draft pick of a good role playing big(e.g. Patterson, Gibson, etc.) to start competing for the playoffs, hopefully still in Sac.

It's definitely an indictment on the Kings franchise direction currently, but I think the bigger issue is the economy. It just plain stinks here in California. People don't have the disposable income they once had.

Number 1 I would turn the keys right over to Evans and Cousins. Build some hype for Cousins like with Evans last year. Didn't yield great results but at least it was something. Improvement from Evans and Cousins as a tandem, and really promote it that way, would be super positive both on the court and off moving forward. Give something for that fans to be proud of.

I think we could get more value out of Garcia unless you just wanted Nazr to let him go after the season.

Cisco is one of the players we should be hanging onto.
