Yeah, I really don't like talking about this kind of stuff till the season ends. But you can look at it in one of two ways..

Yes, you can say this is sad that we're talking about draft prospects so early in the season. Or you can look at this in a more positive way and say... wow, this is great, we're doing some major thinking about the future of this team. haha.

But in all honesty..

I think we should wait for this kind of talk.. talking about trades that's fine.. but this type of stuff can wait till we have a further knowledge about where we are going to stack up in the draft. I'm still enjoying the season and watching this young team play.. it looks like their getting better game by game. It's gonna take awhile.. but I think their getting the hang of things. DMC is looking a lot better. And players are playing with more heart. I do think we need a few trades.. (Landry or Dally.. Maybe Udrih *lacks Defense*).

But other then that. I just think we need to wait it out and see how this team meshes together. Also, IMO, it's better to wait till March Madness or maybe later in the college season to see how good or how much potential a prospect really has. But that's just my opinion.

Yes, a top 3 pick would definitely help us get better (hopefully), but isn't the depressing to think that we're going to have to wait until October 2011 before we can see how it looks? I mean...again? Ugh.

I am generally biased against Duke and Coach K, but I am onboard the Kyrie Irving bandwagon right now. I think he could bring a lot of things this team seems to need on and off the court. I guess we will see how that holds up over the college season.

To be honest, outside the top 5 or so, I don't really like this draft. To me, it's Irving or bust if we are looking into a high lotto selection.

From what I seen from Irving (albeit limited), I like what I saw from him. I think he would be an awesome guy to pair up with Evans.

I don't know, this draft is growing on me. I've really liked what I've seen out of Terrence Jones. He could be a very special player at around that 4-5 area.

I don't know who's coming out, but there are a lot of upperclassmen that intrigue me as well. I've watched Draymond Green from Michigan State improve year after year, he plays such knowledgeable defense. Cross between a non-physical specimen version of Larry Johnson and Ron Artest. Chris Singleton has cooled off a bit, but he's shown improvement and once again, TERRIFIC defense. A lot of players out there that could fit with this team. I think we could pick up main rotational pieces as late as our 2nd rounder depending on who comes out and isn't scared of a potential lockout. Is there a Cousins waiting as low as 5 this year? Probably not, but we could find some roster bolstering players at least.

my votes goes to irving as well. I dont want kimba walker because he will conflict tyreke's game, walker needs the ball in his hands to be dominant and he is scorer. Our biggest need is distributor and a player to be able to knockdown the 3 with consistency. Irving has the most potential to compliment this team and its players skill set

Yeah, I can agree with you on that... It is a little depressing. But it's only depressing because we are waiting for the 2011 draft to make this team better. And because of the fact that our team is loosing. If we just focus on the kings upcoming games instead of draft prospects I think it can be a lot less depressing.

But hey, when you have a young team that looses a lot of games it's gonna be depressing and I can understand that. It's defiantly hard not to think about how bad our team is playing right now. :-?

More depressing news.

Irving is most likely done this season with a freak toe injury.

Who is more depressed when they find out?

Coack K or Kings fans.....

If anything it's good.

With our luck we're never gonna get a 1st draft pick, so cause of the injury he might just fall into our hands :D

No with our luck we will finally get the 1st pick, we won't take Irving because of injury concerns, our pick busts, Irving blossoms into an all star.

Barnes is the only one that fits a position of need. I would be fine taking Irving or Selby as well but Barnes is a smart, tough and overall talented SF that fits a need perfectly. We could package Greene and Landry for a combo guard to put with Tyreke.

Kyrie Irving is my #1

Harrison Barnes is my #2

Kyrie will be a beast in the league and I would love to have him running the show in SAC.

i prefer terrence jones or brandon knight but jones is my #1 option, then trade green or casspi plus filler for mid 1st round pick to get pg.

irving is good pg but hes not a perfect backcourt mate to tyreke, irving needs the ball on his hands to be effective because hes pure pg, irving is good penetrator but not a pure shooter. we all know that tyreke also need the ball on his hands to be effective. therefore for me the perfect backcourt mate for tyreke was a combo guard who can shoot from outside ala ben gordon. pure pg will become useless playing along side with tyreke. if sac draft irving, will you trade tyreke?

My fear is that with Irving out now, and a potential lockout coming, what are the odds he actually comes out? I can't imagine anyone missing 90% of their freshman season and declaring anyways.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
