Unfortunately, all four of those players will leave for a better team when their contract is up.

All four?

Our team will be led by Jones and Rivers, with our role players Evans and Cousins coming off the bench as our 6th and 7th man.

KF10 wrote:Evans looked OFF today (just like the many games this season). He was one of the best finishers & layup makers last year but it seems like he is struggling to hit simple layups! Hang them up dude. Tell yourself it is not worth playing through whatever it's keeping you not 100%. Shut yourself for the season until you feel you are at 100%. It's sad to see our franchise guy playing this BAD.

For Cousins situation: I just hope this isn't another Webber/Nellie debacle back in Golden State over a decade ago. Instead of Nellie playing Webber out of position, Westphal is making Cousins to hate him through various tedious things: benching, fines, direct quotes & etc. It seems like Westphal is lashing out towards Cousins the most out of the whole team.

At what point the Kings are going to get better? Looking at the schedule, it is going to get real UGLY. The Kings BLEW their chances of obtaining a respectable record from the EASY scheduling the past 20 games or so. To me, right now, it's only the tip of the iceberg of how bad the Kings are playing. The Kings are going to be in shambles (if it isn't already) by the end of January, early February.

This is probably the worst season to watch as a fan. Probably worse than the 17-win season back in 08. If so, brace yourself everyone: it's going to be a living hell soon enough.

I wouldn't go that far, but if something isn't done it very well could be. At least this team has real talent to build around.

Funny how on the floor Cousins does a lot of things that remind you of CWebb. Would be truly sad if we were the Warriors of his story however. :( Pretty good example of what happens when you choose the tyrant coach over the immature childish player. If we were playing something that remotely resembled the game of basketball I think we would have cause for concern. Petrie isn't dumb. I hope.

And with Westphal at the helm we're good to go! We could literally rotate 12 guys in and out of the lineup, wait... we already do that... anyway. I think with our pack the paint and quick shot offense we're at least good enough for a few more lotto picks the following years.

It's from top to bottom all the way from the owners," Landry said. "I think everybody can do a little something better. I'm not pointing the finger at just the players. I'm not pointing the finger at just the coaches. I'm pointing the finger at everybody in this organization. I think everybody can do a little bit something better to make this team a better ballclub, including myself."

Interesting....

Shut Tyreke down until he has no more excuses...I don't care if it's for 2-3 months...shut him down. I'd rather see Jeter and Jackson get minutes than watch Tyrreke loafing around the court, chucking ill-advised threes and missing layups.

I love Tyreke and want to see him get better; but I can no longer watch him suck on the court like this.

i've been saying that a long time now... shut reke down if he isnt healthy, he hasnt even helped the kings when he plays so why bother prolonging the injury... im also tired of the excuses were they say this and that, honestly reke deserves some criticisms as well.. i just hate it when pw make cuz his scapegoat but when it comes to reke he says "well the kid is playing injured and dealing with internal problems" .... BS!!! if pw regularly calls out cuz he should call everyone out!

I was at last nights game and I cannot remmeber a game when I saw a player look so disinterested (Evans) in the game. He would be on the court for 5 minutes before I even realized it because he was staying away from all the action. He was very forgetable tonight.

I dont want to speculate on what the personal problem is, but if its that bad then he needs to take some leave and take an early Christmas and deal with his personal life. He needs to be shut down till at least the new year.

I mean seriously seems like every game now DMC either has a turnover or offensive foul down the stretch everytime he touches the ball. Reke gets to the rim but cannot for the life of him make a layup or he gets his shot blocked. These costly mistakes cannot be put on Westphal. DMC and Reke need to take a look in the mirror and accept the fact they they have been costing us games lately. The opportunities have been there for the win.

And the players are going to keep doing this until they have a coach they trust and respect. If you don't get the players under control, they'll never learn anything...

And I dont think you can let a bunch of young players and an immature 20 year old let dictate what coach they will play for and what offense we will run...it's like pacifying a baby giving it whatever it wants just to shut it up and then down the road you end up with more problems. Not sure if thats the best analogy, but do you see where I'm coming from?

Again PW has not been great, just cause I don't want to see him go just yet doesn't mean I think he has done a great job coaching. There is plenty of blame to go around. If you really want to see PW go then your hatred should be placed on Petrie and the Maloofs. A winning organization strarts with the front office, the same is said about a losing organization.

It's gone beyond the level of fault. The situation has deteriorated that far. A move HAS to be made. A losing season is one thing, but an entire season with no development just in individualistic terms simply can't happen.
