Donte looked good at the 4. His length and athleticism really bothered the Nuggets

Too bad Westfail doesn't believe in going with a rotation that works.

Re: Kings @ Nuggets
This game wasn't actually as bad as it seemed. The first quarter was positive. We played the way this team should play, just didn't hit shots. The team then rediscovered that identity after the half, just too bad it was too late by that point.
That 2nd quarter this team reverted back to the "slop" style that got this train riding of the tracks in the first place and it was over.
Major positive is at times this team really did pass the ball well. Not oddly enough that usually happened when we had Cousins, Thompson, and Garcia in there. Westphal's newest experiment? FAILED. Jeter, Evans, and Beno just won't work and I'm surprised the diagram didn't look faulty enough on paper for Westphal to ditch it before trying it. Guess I underestimated him! haha.
Still, can't really lay this one at his feet, just a poor shooting night, and I have to give him the benefit of the doubt that the reverting back to relying on the opposing teams own failure and sloppitude was just gas escaping that corpse. At least I hope!

Another thing, look at the stat sheets. Guess which one belongs to which coach!? Hehehe. Westphal, look at George Karl, THAT'S how you run a rotation!!! My worst fears are coming true with Westphal, total absolute platooning. Pisses teams off, and makes young teams look way worse than they really are. Basketball is too rhythm oriented to be doing that horse****. Petrie has to consolidate dang it.

This 3 guard line up was terrible and a big part of our offensive struggles. 3 ball dominant guards - 2 of which are bad shooters with 1 being decent in the backcourt with the bigs on this team will NEVER work. Teams will pack the paint and make poor shooters beat them from the outside.
One lineup I would like to see is Tyreke/Garcia/Casspi/Greene/Cousins.
This team obviously needs more shooting but more than anything we need TALENT. Players who can consistently put the ball in the basket.

So my eyes weren't deceiving me. That's depressing.

Well, all I can say about rotations, is that Karl has a veteran playoff team, so he can set a fixed rotation if you will. Westphal has nothing close to a playoff squad to work with, and has to deal with alot of young inconsistent players. If the kings were a more consistent and experienced team, I believe he would set a rotation and leave it for the most part.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
That just happened.

You know trying to buy a $0.99 hamburger with $0.50 won't work either. We just know better not to try it.
KANGZZZZZ!

Nah, dude practically changes rotations and starting lineups based on barometric pressure and placement of the sun at any given point in the day. You don't roll out 12 man rotations, you just don't! Experience has nothing to do with it. Stick with your crew through the tough moments and they'll eventually learn to fight through them. Jack them in and out of the lineup during those moments and not only will they never learn, you stand the chance of hindering their development. If Westphal hasn't learned by now that jerking guys in and out isn't going to save this franchise he never will. I mean, him doing this isn't really surprising, everyone knew about this, but it's one of the bad habits he has. On a team looking to win big it might work but it's not a good thing for young developing players.
