I don't get why people think a team in vegas will work. If the Maloofs didn't have any association with the city, would anybody be bringing this up? No.
Vegas is not only an entertainment based location, it's also a tourist city. That means that not only would the kings be hard up for local support, but they would be just another entertainment draw competing with everything else Vegas has to offer. I just don't see how a pro sports team would work there. Not to mention the incredible headache teams would have keeping their players in line in that environment during the season. Forget Vegas.

Not sure what I will do if they move. I've always rooted for the local teams so . . . I definitely would not root for them if they went to Anaheim. San Jose would be my choice because it is still in Nor Cal. If they go much further I would seriously consider rooting for the Warriors, but that would be weird.

That's what I was thinking.
But then again, most of Kings fans were BORN in Sacramento. Probably that's why they chose the Kings. Because it was locally ideal.
I would probably still support the Kings if they moved but I wouldn't be surprise in myself if I chose another team to follow e.g. Warriors (due to the proximity of the team: Nor Cal).

The thing that ties me to the Kings is Sacramento. Take Sacramento out and I'm no longer a fan. The NBA is a joke so I'll probably stop watching NBA basketball altogether as well.

What makes you think that? The Kings are NOT some national brand with a bunch of bandwagon fans around the country (LA Lakers). They have a primarily local fanbase and if they leave they can kiss goodbye to the majority of their fans.

The majority of you will end up warriors fans . That's the new local team that will be on TV 82 games a year.

Not me . I will be a fan of no team. I will just have players I like .
