Why are you so high on Whiteside?

Judging from this person's name, this person is a female, which means this person lacks rational thought.

In other words, "OMG WHITESIDE IS LIKE TOTALLY HOT AND I WANT HIM ON MY TEAM!!!!!"

This reminds me of iheartbrad. I wonder what happened to her.

I just think Whiteside will be a potential all star, his ceiling is sky high

He has potential quite a lot actually. But he won't reach his celing for a while. Truth is he's a project. Nothing more at this point.

Piston's fan:

You guys have Sam D, Cousins, Thompson, and Whiteside. i'm not willing to give our 1st rounder for a project. He has a lot of potential, but so did Darko(point is potential don't mean SH*). If i were the Kings it would have to be a draft day trade, meaning if the kings need to draft a position of need and the guy they want is still on the board. They don't really lose anything since its a 33rd pick for a 33rd pick.

From Detroit, i would do it, just based on his potential, however if Kings decline i wouldn't be too worried, there are other players who also have just as much potential in the draft.

So basically its a matter of mutual benefit on draft day.

I'd do this if I were the Kings no matter how weak people view this draft, but the Pistons would most likely not get near this offer.

Thankfully you are not Joe Dumars. That is atrocious for Detroit and not something we should even consider.

And it should be noted the rest of the Pistons hates this deal as well. While Kirsten is certainly entitled to their opinion, the views expressed in this thread do not represent the views of most Piston fans.

That said I would not expect the Kings to part with Whiteside (who they drafted at #33) for #33 in this years weaker draft class. That makes no sense either. If there was some middle ground, then maybe we could come to some sort of agreement, but I dunno what that would be.

This statement is so dumb on many levels.... No one said he was speaking on behalf of all pistons fans (certainly he didn't)...if he's entitled to his own opinion then let him?

He just said if he was Dumars then he'd pull that trigger. Obviously he's not Dumars so his opinion of a good deal (that deal) would not go through...... gees

I think what he's saying is that Kirsten is offering everything to you guys for Whiteside, and we aren't that high on him, so don't get the perception that we are.

i have to agree with him, i put this idea up on the pistons board and its fifty fifty respone, Apparently whitesides got character, knee, and history issues. His talent however hasn't been doubted.

We (us Kings fans on this board) Dont need you to clarify this for us. We all have brains and are quite intelligent. We know who Whiteside is and we know he is not worth a player plus #7 pick in the draft.

Yes, don't think for one minute any basketball fan with a mind would assume it possible to get that kind of deal for Whiteside.

ha ha, we're just saying, some of our fan's are little over zealous. we would love to take D. Cousin's toxic self imploding self of your hands for the pick. i just don't think he'll be good for your team in the long run.

Don't think the aggression is really called for, but whatever. You got your point across. I'll just mosey on back over to the Pistons board. Best of luck fellas.
