Anthony Davis SWEEPSTAKES
i believe some bad teams starting to tank for anthony davis sweepstakes or if not tanking, they don't really care of losing for that kid. the kid is beast, the best college freshman Ive seen. anthony davis motor and defensive ability was the perfect frontcourt partner for DMC.

We're not gonna be that bad to get him imo, but I think you overrate him a bit saying he's the best freshman you saw.
Once he fills out he'll be great, till then he's gonna have major problems in the NBA, but again I think he's out of our range - doubt we will be a bottom 5 team in the league again this year.

We suck too much. We even suck at tanking and even when we get that right, we still get screwed (see Blake Griffin).

The strange thing is, the Kings at this pace might still end up with about the 7th-8th pick, teams are just really struggling right now. However, the really truly odd thing is that NONE with the exception of the Wizards are playing as poorly as the Kings. The Kings are bottoms in pretty much every single offensive statistical category. Like I've said before, the one positive I think you can draw is the team has some serious talent, if not, they wouldn't have won a single game, they are playing that badly and clueless.

There is no question Davis is the prize this year, Drummond may have the potential but he's looking a bit Favors-esque right now, without even his production. I do agree though, Davis is a bit overrated and he won't be a true franchise player for anyone. Still, he would indeed be the player to answer pretty much all remaining needs for this team and his drawbacks (settles for a perimeter game, not a ton of beef, questionable one on one ability) would be perfect fits next to a guy like Cousins and his positives (shotblocking, spot shooting, best unibrow since Zeus bar none - even better than Quincy Douby) cross off almost every need on the wish list.

We've been the worst team before. We ended up with the #4 pick. Tanking for 1 guy is stupid.

Yea we all know having the worst record doesnt guarantee the first pick.... or the second, or the third
man its depressing.

We won't end up with a bad enough record to get Davis. What will suck, is that we will end up with a record landing us a pick in the 5-8 range...which may mean drafting a player that doesn't significantly help us...thus we are in a similar situation next year.

as long we don't draft a college senior on our lottery pick, were ok. 5-8 range, barnes, MKG or sullinger isn't a bad pick. But i still wish kings luck to get #1 pick on lottery ping pong balls to get anthony davis.

I am sooooo tired of this discussion. We're gonna be discussing
Tanking every single year aren't we?

Do you really think we've tried to "tank" at all over the past five years or so? Because we haven't. Tanking means you purposefully lose to get a better draft pick. We are simply just this good (or I mean bad).
