I envy them for having a great coach and having a system...

We can tell with your Evans hate and Rubio love :-?

Sorry with that... I started watching the kings during the webber years and got used to watching team basketball and moving the ball around... Im not digging the iso's and constant dribbling without any plays... Kid is still young and will still improve and im hoping he proves me wrong... But if your one of the teams franchise players, people expect greater things and thus get most of the blame/comments.

But come on, Rubio has elite trade value. Check the trade board rankings. D. Williams and Ridnour for a backup F and Evans is in line for Evans value, trade talks don't start and end with Rubio or Love. The Wolves have some nice pieces for Sacto.

Rubio's value will fall back down to earth soon. Go look at how the trade board valued Tyreke his rookie year.

Yeah, and it depends on where he tops out at. If this were his 4th year in the league and he's producing like this, he's a great passing PG, but really more of the Jose Calderon level with better defense and less shooting.

With that said, the Kings aren't trading Evans for the Wolves 3rd or 4th best pieces. Not even if they were able to swallow a deal like Salmons. Evans is showing flashes of becoming a much better PG lately, you can't turn that away for anything short of a guaranteed superstar right now, or a guaranteed fit that will make your team better.

It might. But I think a good veteran PG, the #2 pick this year (who's a PF playing behind Love), and maybe Utah's pick for Evans and a bench SF would be pretty good value.

I'm just saying there's more on the Wolves for a rebuilding team like Sacto than our 2 best players.

The problem is that we are a rebuilding team and Evans is a prime player for a rebuild. Young, cheap contract, has shown flashes and is playing better with a coach that holds him more accountable. Why move a guy who if he gets it can be a dominant player and has shown flashes for a what could be a nice David West-like power forward but is still unknown and another unknown in the pick? If we are moving Evans, I'd rather go after a bigger name and known commodity like Deron Williams and try and get a package together to get him.

What about trying to get Derrick Favors, Burks, and the warriors 1st rounder back for REKE and Jimmer. Favors would be a nice compliment to Cousins in the front court, Burks could develop into a nice bench scorer. Focus on finding a PG or SF in the draft. Maybe get lucky and be in position for Kidd-Gilchrist with the early pick and with the warriors pick snag Austin Rivers. Part of me thinks trading away two ball dominant point guards just to draft one might be the wrong move but Rivers seems like the type of dude that could really succeed in the league.

Kings
Pg-Rivers/Thomas
Sg-Thornton/Burks
Sf-Kidd-Gilchrist/Salmons
Pf-Favors/Hickson
C-Cousins/Thompson

Utah
Pg-Harris/Jimmer
Sg-REKE/Miles
Sf-Hayward/Howard
Pf-Milsap/J.Evans
C-Jefferson/Kanter

What would it take to get him?
Would something like Ridnour, Randolph, Memphis and Utah's protected pick for Evans be enough?
Or do you still think he has semi elite value?

Would you accept Garcia, Greene and the Kings 2nd round pick in 2012 for Rubio?

^ Seconded.

And stop with all Tyreke trades that are 3 for 1 or 2 for 1 type of a deal. If we trade Tyreke, it will either be for a player with similar talent/value but at a different position, or it will be a two for one or three for one, where SACRAMENTO is giving up the multiple pieces.

How about let Tyreke continue on in really his 2nd healthy year? Jesus. Guy is going along fine and still has a lot of time to round out his game to consistency.

How 'bout no.

That gives the Kings 1 point guard and another big (6). Kings would probably only trade Reke for another PG.

It's his third year now and this is also the time when you at least start considering everything to make your team better. Reke is up and down like any 22 year old player, but Petrie needs to start thinking about fit and the long term. It's almost time to commit, and before you do that you need to make sure you're not overpaying for a piece that might not fit with your true franchise player in Cousins. Trading him now for anything that doesn't make you an instant contender or for a package that's just a ridiculous no brainer is out of the question though.

Phillly guy here with a question....
Since the coaching shake-up deos anyone know how Cousins attitude whether good or bad has suppossedly gotten?
I am a huge Cousins fan and had actively campaigned for him to be drafted by the 6ers. He would have had 2 seasons of mentoring w Brand. 1st on the bench the 2nd after we let Dalembert walk as a starter. Unfortunately we don't get too see many Kings games on the East coast.
Make them respond to your way of playing not the other way around
