The only thing scary about these losses is having Cousins dominate and his team fails him. How many more of these before Cousins wants out.

+1.

The early 16 point lead ticks me off even more. Yes it was because the Rockets were asleep in the first, but you have to find a way to keep those big leads. Teams do it against us all the time.

Given how young this team is, I really don't think that should be a concern right now. I'll take these losses over what was happening at the beginning of the year easily.

My thoughts exactly. He was visibly pissed for Thornton missing him twice at the end of regulation, and in OT where he barely got any touches after finishing regulation with 36. Hopefully Smart gives his guards a talking to.

That actually didn't even really bother me, because my standards are so low. When we got up like that, I was like "Oh so that's nice. It'll be a while before the Rockets definitely come back and take the lead again."

Well, higher draft pick. I don't see us winning much in April so the worse we go into April, the better our chances of landing Davis.

I REALLY wish we'd let Jimmer have more time to get going in some of these games rather than playing him for 2 minutes then throwing him in the last 15 seconds. Hard to produce like that. He seems to have the smallest margin for error on the team.

The problem is like, in order for him to help the team, he has to be dynamite offensively because he's just one giant mistake defensively. So when he makes any mistakes offensively it's really piling on the terribleness.

With that said, with the way Isaiah was playing, I wouldn't have minded seeing him get some more burn.

One thing that Smart does repeatedly on last play situations that just really irks me is he goes really small when there is no need to. Keep JT or Hayes on the floor and run a screen, if you go small you've taken your other screen man off the floor so odds decrease that you're getting an open look. The Rockets for instance didn't go small, they stayed big and ran a pick and roll.

Which was defended perfectly that second time might I add. I have no idea why Grant and Jerry think there was a problem on that 2nd play when they switched. The problem was Cousins went down to double Dragic after he was already stopped by Hayes and left Patterson wide open.

Pssst. This means it wasn't defended perfectly.

Hence, why I said THE PICK AND ROLL was defended perfectly. They stopped the pick and roll with ease, the issue was when Cousins thought he could steal it from a guard....again.

Thought you guys were tanking, taking out Dragic & Camby... fml

anyrate Cousins & Thomas are the ****, like you guys didn't already know that,
We recently faced Mavs & Lakers and none of their bigs dominated like that.

Well, tonight he mostly was ****.

Anybody think that this ROY campaign is getting to IT? I myself think it's a little ridiculous, they're lumping all kinds of pressure on this kid like they did Reke two years ago except Thomas has almost no shot to win. Getting such a late start on playing time puts him way behind the 8 ball regardless of how well he plays.

Not even almost. He has not shot to win. Even Irving getting hurt and being out for the season at this point wouldn't be enough.

I don't know if that's what it is though. I think he's just coming back to earth a little bit.

Thomas isn't even getting second place. Rubio has that locked up. Rubio was 3rd in the league in assists, 2nd in steals, and his team was playoff bound when he was playing. Since he's been out, not so much, proving his worth.

He prolly aint gettin 4th too if Faried keeps this up.

My kinda loss, Demarcus wel full beast-mode today.. I almost started to hope we'll win just so he can that W on him, but you know I ain't gonna cry with another L to keep us somehow in the running for THE BROW and form the greatest frontcourt in the league 8-)

I like how Demarcus is trying to start dominate with his physical strength ala Bynum, trying to get deep position right inside the paint early on - too bad no one ever passes the ball to the big fella when he does, if we work on those plays that can be some easy quick buckets.

I'd also like to see Cousins try get deeper position, pass it out and repost again so he can get his post game going - I think the reason he's bad in the post is he's just so far away from the basket and his sweet spots.

Maybe he's scared if he passes it out he won't get it back in or smth I donno, but with his brute strengh and such wide frame he should do ALOT MORE reposts and I bet my life it'll really improove his FG%s too.

Marcus has been on fire btw, he's just ballin out of his damn mind.

The thing that was encouraging about last night is that, as we know, Sam is a very good defender. Hell, he gave Demarcus absolute fits last time. That wasn't Demarcus not being there. Demarcus was there, and Sam was stopping him.

But this time, Demarcus really took it to him and there was nothing Sam could do. He's also had good games against the Grizz and Celtics recently. I think this is a good step up for him.
