Kendall Marshall, Nic Batum, Ryan Anderson

Post#1 » by king125 » Tue Apr 10, 2012 6:29 am

Is there any way we could turn Tyreke, Jimmer, and our 2012 first rounder (not if its top 3), into Kendall Marshall, Nic Batum, and Ryan Anderson?

Maybe Tyreke to Orlando for a S&T Anderson and pick

Pick #5 and Jimmer to Portland for a S&T Batum and their pick (10-12)(Marshall)

Cousins/Hayes
Anderson/Thompson
Batum/Williams
Thornton/Salmons
Marshall/Thomas

Wouldnt even be that expensive. Still young and could make a run for the 8th seed next year.

I hope Tyrekes worth more than Anderson and that pick.

Huh? The Kings should be able to do that without giving up anybody, the draftee is well behind the Kings draft range and both players are free agents. Maybe not both Batum and Anderson with them playing so well with both of their teams probably viewing them as core pieces though. Not at least without probably shedding some salary or doing a sign and trade. Could be really close though if they amnesty Salmons and renounce JT and Donte.

Im talking with the Maloofs as owners. They will not amnesty anyone. Thats wasted money. And they wont be able to steal away Batum and Anderson from Portland and Orlando without spending some money, which they wont. My idea was to be able to get those guys without breaking the bank. a pick in the 5-7 range and Tyrekes coming extension is probably close salarywise to what Batum and Anderson will make combined. We could stay near the bottom of the salary cap and still upgrade the team in a huge way.

I don't think that will factor in a ton because as stated, when someone picks him up they'll save on the difference. Just depends because Salmons started playing really well before he went down with this mysterious hip injury, they might not want to amnesty him because of what he can add to the team. With TWills arrival it makes it a little sticky however.

You give up a higher pick, Tyreke Evans, and Jimmer and don't call that breaking the bank? I do.

Tyreke + Jimmer is worth less than either Batum OR Anderson. Both of those guys are going to be hot commodities and likely neither will leave their respective teams anyway. It's known around the league how broken Tyreke is, and Jimmer is basically Adam Morrison 2.0.

You might be able to swing the #5 + Jimmer pick for Batum, but there will be no first round pick coming back.

The Magic would take Tyreke for Ryan and a first as we may have to match too high and we need to save cap space for the summer of 2013.

LOL at Reke + Jimmer not worth Batum or considering that Batum = pick + Jimmer

Anderson is having a good year but I'm not trading both of our guys for him.

This would reek desperation from the Kings if we traded Evans for Anderson + pick.

Tyreke would be great in Orlando surrounded by 3pt shooters so he would have more value than Anderson.
