Wow that awesome. Not only will his game increase but he has a legit mentor now.
I don't hate Shaq as much anymore.
Shaq would probably love to see him overtake D12 as the best big man too. You should post this on GB.

Shaq likes to goof off a lot, but behind that goofy personality is a really smart guy who has a great knowledge and respect of the game and its history. I don't know how serious he is, but it would be awesome if he is, as he would be an ideal mentor. He even has a doctorate in education!

Mastrov's league connections are paying off it looks like!

The battle of the egos, Interesting. Put aside my hate for anything and everything purple&gold, I think Shaq could serve as a great mentor for DMC. Hey, somebody needs to get through to this kid and his abundance of untapped potential! I'd like to see C-Webb get involved, too. That would be nice.

Getting ready for the GB hate towards Big-Cuz for all the excessive hype Shaq will bring on him on 'Inside' next year :D

Being a physical big-men, even if not nearly as big or strong as Shaq(which made him what he was) - still having pointers from one of the All-Time greats about how to deal with refs, little tips to exploit in the paint using your body, stuff like that can be very helpful to a young up and coming bigmen like Cuz, and Shaq knows all about it.

My concern, as always, is does DeMarcus want to listen? Is he willing to be open minded and soak stuff in even if he thinks otherwise at that moment?

Not sure at all about that, but I can sure hope that maybe Shaq could reach to the kid and he'll help put him on the right path.

Well... I can't say I'm not torn on this. I mean yeah, its great that Cousins can get tutored by one of the greatest big men in NBA history... But then again, its SHAQ! He's like THE reason why people still call us the "Queens" to this day. Kinda makes me wonder why he would even WANT to be bothered with us...

Interesting. I read a rumor a few weeks back that Shaq was wanting to buy into the team or something too. Can't remember where I read that but I took it with a grain of salt.

Wonder what kind of teacher Shaq is? The best thing about it is that he will be passing things he picked up from some of the legends before him no doubt.

CWebb and Shaq were talking about it on TnT or NBATV.

OK, thanks for the info, I think I read a media persons twitter or something that was mentioning that then. I do remember reading he was good friends with Mark Mastrov shortly after that.
