I'm a JT supporter but he is a massive idiot both sides of the ball. Dude is getting destroyed.

So much for Cousins finally turning the corner, and what a miserable person Salmons has become. He just does his own thing, and can't even be bothered to do a half ass job of it. I hope they and a few others enjoyed their time on the bench.

Bogut got into Cousins' head and effectively stopped him. But lets remember here, Bogut is likely, a top-3 interior defender in the NBA (imo he is #1) and has a history of shutting down Cousins in the past. I wouldn't put too much stock tonight. Cousins will bounce back.
On the other hand, having Salmons on the court is like playing down a man: 4 on 5. Dude is terrible. Like I said earlier somewhere, he is good for every 5 games.

Good to see kings fans in that game cheering despite the ugly perfomance from this team...

Great players play great against other great players. The message I'm getting from you is that Cousins isn't a great player.

Cousins' isn't a great player...right now. He still needs to get things in his game adjusted before anointing him as a "great player".

Cousins was completely shut down tonight. I agree with you that Bogut is likely number 1 best interior defender. Why doesn't he get the respect he deserves?

Tough game for DMC. Nice to see those first two games, though. GL in game 4!

Re: Game 3 Kings vs Warriors
Just a bad effort overall but this isn't just about effort. I see a few things that need to be tweaked from a strategy standpoint and personnel standpoint.
Firstly, when you run preseason the way Malone did, this is when you suffer the consequences. Especially against experienced teams. I'm all for the long term development course they are taking so I'm not going to panic, neither should anyone else yet.
Few things I don't like, one of which is the usage of Patrick Patterson. He's doing too much right now. Tell him to stand at the corner 3 and don't move, how hard is that? Why his he playing pick and pop from the 3 point line? He can hit those shots when he's going but he needs to be a spot shooter to get going and to help this team anyway. Wow, that 3 position is weak. Where is Mbah a Moute? Is he still hurt and they are just working him in slow? Still want to see more easy shots created for Thornton and McLemore in the course of the game, they need to be the players getting the 2nd most shots for this team to have any chance. Right now they are having a hard time fitting in and you know why? TOO MUCH PICK AND ROLL. It's like the same story year after year. Sure run some pick and roll, but almost every play starts with a useless pick for a PG, teams stopped falling for that 2 years ago. SG's who cut off the ball are useless in the pick and roll. I want to see more back door movement with Cousins as a facilitator, it's works, we know it works and it is the only way this team has shown they can manufacture easy shots for the last 3 years. BTW coach, they're pretty good at it to. Same story, this team consistency in regards to competitiveness can be summed up in the assist totals.
One thing I liked were Malones defensive adjustments after halftime. They started really hedging out on Curry and amazingly he stopped looking like the best player of all time.
All in all I think the Warriors are going to be a bad matchup from here on out. I saw inklings of it in preseason but until Malone adjusts the Warriors know more about him than he does about them, they have his number. I have confidence that he will adjust eventually though.

Bogut understands when to step in the right time to challenge shots at the rim, knows when to help and rotate etc. These are the little things that many fans ignore and not take into consideration. Bogut is a defensive whiz when it comes to this. Too bad he has been injury prone throughout his career though.

Because he is hurt a ton, hard to vote for a guy that isn't in the lineup. The year he was with the Bucks before he got hurt, he was getting tons of props.
