Jason terry won't report to kings

Post#1 » by SacTown Kings » Sat Feb 22, 2014 8:48 am

So what does that mean? Is it that he refuses to be a part of the kings or is it more that the kings told him not to report because he is rehabbing an injury (and does that mean he doesn't take up a roster spot)?

The Kings did the right thing and so has Terry.

He gets paid this season, his agent makes calls, the Kings front office makes calls. He rehabs and takes it easy, no point putting any stress on his body.

If his agent or the Kings FO are able to make a business contact with another team, who is much better off than we are, they agree to buy out terms.

If someone after Terry rests and rehabs is interested the Kings save like 2-3 million on the buy out, and Terry probably is thankful he is off the Nets, getting another shot to end his career in a happier place.

Glad to hear they aren't going to buy him out. I was thinking about it and they might really need his contract this summer to make a deal work. Buying him out could potentially shut out half the trades the Kings might be able to make because they won't have his salary to make it work financially. Enjoy your vacation Jet!
