No doubt. We all know it's a mental battle with Stauskas.

Not looking for style when your main guy is out. An ugly win is perfectly O.K. considering the situation.

Also, I wonder if it's too soon to say Sessions has turned a corner. Four assists with only two turnovers is a reversal of his normal stat line.

Saw a glimpse of the team they were after the 1st quarter. They once again started off way too quick and got into a free flowing up and down game, but then after that they buckled down and started to play more like they were when they were winning games.

Stauskas finally has a good shooting night 50% from the field. I loved Malone's decision to let Stauskas play the 4th..... Gay had a good game. I hate watching Rudy as the #1 option because he can do too much and force shots at times. I'd like to see his assist #'s stay on the high side (pending the supporting cast can buy a bucket)..... Ben didn't score much but he showed he can still help his team in other ways which is awesome for his role..... Didn't read one "damn Sessions" post today so that all you gotta know about him..... I liked Evans starting over Hollins for this game. In future match ups I would consider this. A lot.......

So Casspi is not seeing minutes because we're trying to find buyers for DWill, right?

Props to Nik for the night. He looked confident.

I also wondered about Omri...

Gobert is going to be a beast, although Exum hasn't impressed

Was a little disappointed to go to the game tonight without Cousins suiting up, but was fantastic to see Nik play well.

Refs seemed pretty ticky tacky from my point of view at the game.

I know Nik can score like that. I actually predict he'll average 15 next season. But what I'm the most happy about is the 8 rebounds. That's crazy high for any 2-guard in this league. I'm very happy for him. I hope he keeps it up and it's not another 20 games before the next really impressive outing.

I was remiss not to mention the man Rudy Gay. 29 points on 19 shots, 3 steals, 9/10 FT line. All-star numbers.

To DWill's credit, he has played pretty well lately and deserved a chance at more minutes.

I feel bad for Omri.. Has been a leader and played well and now might see himself squeezed out? But practically Derrick is younger and might have that upside

I had fun at the game last night. I saw Utah in Utah vs the Clippers so I thought we had this game the entire time. A couple things I've noticed:

1. This was the game to get Nik Stauskas going. Utah isn't good. Outside of Hayward and Favors I don't like their team at all. Anyhow Nik has a long way to go, but it was nice to see him get an extended stretch of playing time.

2. I'm not exactly all in on Darren Collison. He's good, an upgrade as far as team fit to Isaiah, and has played ok/well. I just don't see him being the starter on a championship team?

3. Derrick Williams shows flashes of good play. I thought he'd be gone by the trade deadline? I'm not so sure now?

4. Carl Landry isn't that good. During this stretch where Cousins has been out he hasn't played well.

We won though!

Well, get ready because that upside disappears as soon and Cuz and his shot attempts hits the floor again. One would hope it's at least partially about showcasing, but truthfully, without Cuz this team needs the talent. Omri is clearly a much, much better fit for this team at 100%. You can never really know what's going on though. That Sessions over McCallum thing when Sessions has been a huge stinking negative in some games gives me pause.

Right after I called for Nik to get demoted to the D-league he went and has a game like this. Nicely done. And once again Thompson was very nice with the high-low entry passes. Loved seeing that out of him.

A wins a win but to be totally honest Utah is down right putrid, especially with Hayward having an off night and Favors in foul trouble. Should have been a blow out win. Feels like we are going to lose to the Lakers tonight. Landry has been pretty useless the past few weeks - I'd like to see us try Omri and D-Will on the floor together.
