I watched a lot of him last few years and couldn't be happier with the pick so late in the second. He's a gem IMO. Great size and athleticism, very shifty with the basketball, good floor leader, nice pull up jumper, potential to be a good 3 point shooter. I think he can play right away and can slide over to guard 2s in some cases

Kings showing how much they value 3pt shooting with this pick. Cousins has shot 40%+ in the past three years, and that is probably why they picked him over Gary Payton II. He also has a quick release. However, his free throw percentage is concerning. I look forward to watching him in Summer League.

This pick was interesting, not one I saw coming. I was hoping for Gary Payton but I think this could turn out decent as well.
