if that's what it takes! He's a good backup C, that's what any good team seems him as, but since coach is going to stick to his defensive ideals playing small is a must.

I also really liked the look of that unit with Tolliver at the 5. It had the Clipps scrambling defensively and if they can finally get some proper use out of the stretch 4 they signed it could be a dangerous look.

Hey, it might not work in the end, but jeez, I say he should give it a shot because we KNOW that other lineup is doo doo.

Everything about the style of pick and roll defense Joerger wants them to play screams small ball honestly. Then on the other end you can spread the dang court without Cousins having to pull up and shoot because teams just pack the paint on him. Going through the same realizations with a different coach year after year is like WTF.

I liked the look of that Tolliver at C, Rudy at PF lineup too. I would mind seeing that explored further.

Would be a massive mistake to trade cousins right now. Toronto traded Rudy and immediately improved...we should give that a shot.

Haha. But on a serious note if it were about one player, things would immediately improve when said player was off the floor, unfortunately, not a single trade is going to bail the Kings out of this play. The stats very clearly show certain units are far better than others (Ahem, who brought the Kings back in it in the 2nd quarter BTW?) but it starts and ends with coaching and players buying it. A few more games of this and we get to see the cashing out process again, probably for the final time after the same pattern year after year.

Well my thought process is more that Gay is a ball stopper and kills flow on offense. But yeah I don't think it's just about one trade. But frankly I am unsure I trust Vlade to make the right picks if we get a kings ransom for cousins. His draft record leaves a lot to be desired thus far (talking about Papa)

It was more giving lowry the reigns to the team. before hand the offense revolved around gay/demar being volume scorers. imo it didnt matter which of dd/gay was moved lowry was he main reason for the raptors turnaround.

I am so glad to hear that he's going to stop starting Cousins and Koufos together. They are both centers, so it's obvious that they shouldn't start together, especially since Cousins is slow.

The only concern I have is of course, one of his quotes post Clippers is playing Collison and Lawson together. Good luck doing that against Toronto. Heck, it may work, but if it doesn't please stop it quickly, before you watch Demar go for 40 in the first quarter.
