Besides Boogie, anyone else care about BBALL on Kings?

Post#1 » by heyPlayer » Tue Jan 10, 2017 9:56 am

Seriously, do the Kings want to actually do something good in the league? Do they lack talent? Chemistry?

Collison has proved time and time again that he's just not a good basketball player. He does nothing well, and everything mediocre to bad imo.....

It's just Boogie that's carrying the team, is anyone else stepping up really?

I'm curious if Boogie actually cares enough about winning to do whatever it takes to benefit the team. It seems to me like he's more interested in having the ball on every possession and putting up big numbers than he is in being a good teammate and making the guys around him better.

you can even add the owner and management to that list.. i think there intentions are good but there actions/decisions has been a mess.

Seriously ?

Cousins is our best player & easily a top 10 player in the NBA & I would say top 5 but usually to be considered that you have to be on a winning team which we are not .
You mention having the ball on every possession seriously ? Every team whom has just 1 major star on it's team has that star have a touch or two on every possession aside from a breakout fast break . That is because they are the best player , the scorer and even when the do not shot it is to draw attention to them so others can score . He should have the ball just about every possession . Same as EMBIID or A.DAVIS as examples for their teams .

Personally I think the whole team care about winning . What I do not think though is that the team overall values the ball & their are a lot of bad passing . I also believe having Cousins as a PF does not work . He needs to get his rebounds and be a dominant force when having Koufas on the floor at the same time this keeps Cuz away from getting boards hence why other teams will get a lot of offensive rebounds as Cuz then breaks out ahead as he is trusting Koufas to get more boards than what he is . Cuz should be the starting Center and Koufas should back him up .

I guarantee you that if any player in the NBA does not care about winning they will not be in the NBA for long .

Vivek has been pretty open about wanting to make the playoffs opening year in G1C.

I agree with this to a certain extent. The other night when he wasn't playing well, we put him back in the game and forced it to him. We should have closed that Miami game and Koufos/Tolliver were playing excellent but coach decided to go back to Cousins/Barnes.

Part of me wonders if this is Cousins fault, or if the rest of the guys tend to lean on him to much. I'd love to see Collison show that aggressiveness he had last year off the bench looking to score and pulling up from mid range. Rudy had a great first quarter then literally just disappeared. We are sorely lacking a 2nd consistent option.

Your actions show what you value. For example why was Cousins and Barnes at a NY nightclub at 4 AM in the morning following the game at NY? Sure they had 3 days off after the game but wouldn't it be better to fly back home and keep a good routine in the middle of the season?

These kinds of things matter.

He doesn't get a lot of help, granted, but also I wish Boogie would care enough to run back on defense instead of whining to the officials. I can't count the number of 5v4 the other teams gets nightly, and Boogie would get more respect from the officials and everybody else if he just shrugs and moves on.

Kanter beat him downcourt so many times tonight it was embarrassing. All of the smart teams know to push the pace in transition and have their big men run the floor for easy buckets against the Kings because of it.

Return to Sacramento Kings
