PG that cant shoot or a SF that cant shoot FTs...hmm?? Seriously though, Ill take Fox. Jackson is just a bad FT shooter. That always scares me from a wing. Jason Kidd was a horrible shooter from range and he became a decent spot up shooter to go along with his game.

I voted for Fox based on my feeling that given the Kings' remaining assets and trade/FA options, I'd wager the Kings would have better luck getting a quality wing than PG before the season starts. I voted, but I don't feel strongly about it.

And the Kidd comparison is why I'd take Fox. Elite BBIQ and a mature personality > elite athleticism every time IMO. Not to say that Jackson wont be a good an competent personality with a decent head for the game, but a supremely intelligent player works to elevate the play of everyone else on the team. Fox has been lauded as having one of the highest BBIQs in the draft which comes across in his interviews and personality.

I would take Fox. He is a player that has said he does not mind coming to Sacramento. WCS and him are friends. They are comparable prospect just at different position. It is a tough one though because Josh Jackson's defense on the wing could be amazing

I don't think he will be Jason Kidd. I was just saying that Kidd was horrible at shooting and he developed a good set shot. I think Fox could be Mike Conley, especially since the coach used to coach Conley.

They're not going to be the same type of player, agreed, but Kidd's success came in knowing how to conduct his teammates and control the pace of the game. I want Fox for his ability to do that for us.

Given Jackson's behavior in standing up the Celtics after they flew to Sac days prior to the draft..... glad we got Fox. That kind of punk ass behavior is not something we need on this team again.

That was mostly Suns' GM and Jackson's agent who created all of that situation.

Doesn't matter at the end of the day it reflects poorly on Jackson and his parents. The agent can't do anything without his approval. It was a punk thing to do.

And his parents? Josh is his own man. You're way too emotional on this topic. Workout issues happen every year.

Not emotional at all. I have two kids who played D1 sports, one who played in the Olympics and I made it clear how he behaves reflects on himself and our family.

Parents are involved in this stuff and you can be darn sure that if Fox did that his Dad would march his ass up to the microphone and make him apologize. It's one thing to skip a workout. It's even poor but acceptable to not show up at their place. But to cancel when they flew completely across the country is a punk move.
