I'm not sure why they waived Tolliver if they're considering Patrick Patterson. He's basically the same player. I wonder if Tolliver really wasn't as great of a mentor behind the scenes as he was touted to be.

Patterson is a younger better version of Tolliver.

He seemed cursed here or something, was horrible in his stint here.

He and Brooks for whatever reason were much better in other places.

I predict the Kings will sign

Z-B0 to something like a 1 or 2 year deal with a team option
O.Porter to a max or very close max deal

If we don't sign porter then I would predict we sign possibly any of the following

Iggy
j.green
t.allen
b.jennings
t. lawson

I predict we sign 2 -3 from my list of 7 . However I predict we do a trade as well between now & the next 10 days .

You guys should throw everything and the kitchen sink at Igoudala to get him to leave Golden State. I'm talking 4 year 120 million+. Perfect fit with your young core

That would be foolish. I lose interest at anything more than 3 yrs $60mm. Iggy would be perfect but he's long in the tooth.

I guess we were all wrong to think Galloway wouldn't get a pay raise. Dude just got $21M!

I wasn't surprised at all. He got 7M per year for 3 years and it is a fair value for him, I think. The thing is he was just an unnecessary backup for us at 6M, given we were going to draft a starting PG with Ty Lawson can contribute way better as a backup for less than that.

Always liked Taj Gibson. Fits perfectly in the veteran model role.

Haha, I came here to say that. I was wrong Gallo! Get that money! I hope he has a nice season with an expanded role as a 6th-7th man, combo guard for them.

He'll be a 5th guard behind Ish Smith, Reggie Jackson, KCP and Luke Kennard unless they make a trade.

No there is no way in hell that either Jason Terry or Ramon Sessions will be back in a Kings uniform

Rondo's a FA again. He had somewhat of a renaissance with us and Chicago. He's an athletic, competitive, and cerebral player who would make a good mentor for our guards. Not sure he has any interest in returning to Sacramento, but the roster and coach have changed since he was here last so I wouldn't rule it out. Especially if we're willing to pay him more than other teams.

PetrieUnderstudy wrote:The Kings could sign Jonathon Simmons with Gilbert Arenas provision tactic. Spurs can only offer around $9 million per because the Arenas provision limits the first-year salary that teams can offer restricted free agents who have only been in the league for one or two years. The starting salary for an offer sheet can't exceed the amount of the non-taxpayer mid-level exception around ($9 million), which allows the player's original team to use its MLE to match it. Where Kings can get creative is between second and third year they can have salary jump. I believe that's what Nets attempted to do to Heat with Tyler Johnson contract. What would you be willing to jump that 3rd year to?

A ha. Get 'er done Vlade.

Yep. I guess he did know what he was doing. His agent must have remember Stan Van Gundy was still in the game.

He only came here because of Cousins and Gay. Now that they're gone, I doubt it. I could see him signing with Cleveland.

I'd rather have Lawson for a half of the money that Rondo can get. And Lawson can probably sign with a way lesser money while accepting a role behind Fox. We are not competing yet, hence I am not in favor of any guard signing that could going to steal minutes from Fox, Hield and Bogdan.

Iggy has canceled his remaining meetings . I am not sure of he is signing with us but he should be signed with a team soon today !

Andre Iguodala has canceled the remainder of his free agency meetings, league sources tell The Vertical.

Return to Sacramento Kings
