The challenged call...

One thing I don't like about the call was the ref with the worst angle called it.

Also Brown should of saved that.

Mike Brown needs to let Keegan be more than a catch and shoot player. Tonight he was able to drive to the basket to get it going- even with people yelling at Keegan to shoot it. I'm afraid the "shoot it Keegan" isn't all that helpful.

Gritty win. Defense is improving this season! Hopefully the start of good things for Kevin and Keegan.

That was a good win. Not the prettiest again, but the 1st quarter showed what this offense can produce.

Once the coaching staff changes from the just shoot it narrative and tell him to just play ball when he has it in his hands, Keegan WILL show out. His playmaking isn't bad and perhaps that's his problem at the moment. He is decent at pretty much everything, but not great at anything except being a spot up shooter.

* did he have the thumb wrap on last game and this was the first without it? Or did he not have it against Portland?

Get right games for Kevin and Domas! And keegan doing what we knew he could do, shot wasn't falling and so he started going to the rim. 11 rebounds, a monster jam, 3 steals, and getting to the line. The kid is going to be a star it's just a matter of time!

It's disappointing we couldn't split the Houston games, but 4-4 with fox missing time, if he comes back soon we are in decent shape!

He showed us in summer league he's so much more than a catch and shoot. The kid has moves and ability to get by guys now. This is the kind of keegan we need to reach another level

It's like that one ex who is doing really good without you. You aren't unhappy, but you are wondering what could have been lol.

Me personally I think it was the right decision to pick fox over Hali. I think they are really close as players, but I've always thought fox had that killer instinct that we've seen to end games. fox's value was depressed, Hali didn't have time to truly blow up allowing us to max his value.

I agree with you, it's going to take a star level jump from murray for us to be a serious team. I think he's got that in himself. I also think the team can package Barnes, mitchell, huerter, picks and find another compliment to those 3.

Happy for Hali and Indy. Year 1 the kings had success, let's see if Hali and the pacers can keep this going all year.

Don't feel like getting into it but its not my perception the Kings chose Fox over Hali, and Fox had IMO close to negative value at the time of that trade and wouldn't have gotten near the return Hali did. I'm going to assume that you knew that from the latter lines

It was the prudent thing at the time if they couldn't fit (and the impetuous owner was demanding change), to trade the one who had trade value to get a player like Domas instead of give up one for a paltry return. hopefully fox comes as close as possible to closing any gaps between them with long strong career.

Time to give up on davion. He doesn't have any trade value and he's not helping us on the floor. Maybe we can get an equally disappointing young guy in a swap.

expirings is fine.

If we didn't draft Mitchell one of the players I liked in that mid first round was Jalen Johnson who, coincidentally, might look good with this lineup

At this point I'm ringing Washington about Davis, maybe Otto Porter from the Raps or if we get desperate try and make Boukenight another Hornets reclamation project.

in retrospect its a bit humorous that Mitchell was so despondent about being drafted by the Kings in draft night interviews because he saw himself as a starter

My friend, I remember the days you thought the franchise should move off of Fox and turn the keys to mitchell lol.

But either way, it was a bad draft choice day of. And at this point I'm fine moving him for an expiring now or using him as salary buffer down the line. But keon/Colby can hold down the backup guard spot next to monk

lol yeah. he looked particularly like he had a future as a starter as a rookie. I can imagine that I might have suggested that when at the end of the year he was regularly putting up a 20 piece. With his supposed renown work ethic and you would have expected defensive acumen, and someone with what I thought was developing O. Its been nothing but downhill from that point in a somewhat surprising way for me

I saw on the T&T forum some Kings talk about improving our forward situation.

I think it is important to only consider players under multi year deals unless the cost is cheap.

After this clown rather re-up with the Wizards because he didn't want a pigeonholed role? Making us re-sign Barnes?

Return to Sacramento Kings
